Hi everyone!

I have been stalking the forums for a little while, and really want to get a good set of over the ears and an amp for personal use listening to music on my computer, and on my ipod when I travel.  My budget for a line out device for my ipod, a dac/amp, and a good set of over the ear headphones is 500 bucks US.

One thing to note is I dont really want bass-boost or anything like that, I want to hear the music for what it is.  If I can get away with not using an AMP/DAC on my ipod when travelling (IE the headphones can still be driven from my ipod) that would be great, but I would still like a dac/amp solution for my home computer.  So far I have been looking at the Fiio stuff for DAC/AMP for my computer.

Any help for a new guy would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

The AMPs/DAC like Fiio E17, iBasso D-Zero, D4 and Headphones like ATH_ES10, Pro900, V_Moda M80, DT1350 are recommended.
