Owning a 1670 (the old flagship 2018) verifies the pitch in the last statement.
We always use the term organic when it sounds pleasant and realistic to our ears. This set is one of them, with a slightly spicy top end - pls don't be confused w/ bright and detailed. The 1670 is both and full bodied top end to my ears. Treble heads rejoice!
The only sin from this original totl - excessive brightness and sibilant on poorly recorded albums.
There are some exceptions though - a flaw in all of Lorde's albums.
Even the last album - excellent sonics and substance btw, a throw back themed Solar Power, both the singer and the in ear headphones are not to blame here.
Acoustunes are not apologetic for being too revealing, Lorde's pronunciation of the S is but a natural occurrence - this is an unpleasant 4-6hz range.
But for the rest of my 99.5% albums having decent to magnificent recordings, 1670ss is a fantastic set.
I suppose the 2000mx simply magnifies everything, larger sound field and scale of imaging, better holographic imaging w/ better resolution to boot.
The 1670 scene is very large, ie Andro / Solaris classic level large.
But 1670's far from slouch, very far...
the new flagship headphones
HS 2000 MX, can be said to be the new peak of HS series, a new structure with the traditional Japanese "victory color" casing. The beryllium beryllium beryllium top membrane is made in Japan, with the signature Myrinx medical grade material diaphragm, bringing the unique tight and bright sound of metal material to the new headphones.
The first chamber is also made of Duralumin, an unprecedented material commonly used in aircraft production. Duralumin has a higher strength ratio than ordinary aluminum its density and strength are conducive to high and low frequency extension, and together with the Myrinx Composite unit, the overall sound is more balanced. The outer cavity is made of CNC aluminum and stainless steel anodized aluminum alloy to enhance the suppression of the negative effects of resonance on the sound.
As early as when Acoustune was founded, the modular concept had appeared in the sketches and minds. In the initial product HS1551CU, the concept has been implemented, the cavity and the shell are completely separated, and this familiar design has been used today. Coming to the new generation of HS2000MX, we took another big step forward and adopted the new Acoustune Capsule Technology (A.C.T) interchangeable cavity design, allowing users to replace the cavity by themselves, greatly improving the playability of the headset.
If you are familiar with Acoustune, you may know that they are good at using different materials to make the earphone cavity, and adjust the sound through the resonance characteristics of the material. The cavity that comes with HS2000MX is very common in aircraft production, and it is higher than ordinary aluminum. The strong "Duralumin" (Duralumin) alloy cavity has a very high density and hardness, which helps to extend the high and low frequencies. In the future, cavities with different materials and tuning will be introduced to facilitate users to purchase according to their personal preferences, so that HS2000MX has greater plasticity.
Since the launch of the new flagship, HS2000MX will of course use the latest Myrinx Composite dynamic unit. As in the tradition of this series, the diaphragm is made of medical-grade polymer biomaterials, and Japanese beryllium film is used in the upper sounding dome. The material originally used in the high-end horn tweeter has very strong impact resistance and high temperature resistance characteristics, which greatly enhances the extension of high frequency, even continuous large dynamics can be handled with ease, and the response speed and control force are improved.
Bring smooth, dense and linear performance of large dynamics.
