I went to an audio shop, those with instruments and studio headphones. I went up to a guy asking if maybe
they have the earsonics sm3 (i live in Paris) so maybe they would have it. The guy and his collègue did not know what they were. They checked it out online, and he saw the price and told me I was getting ripped off and I could get a full size headphone that's much better ( I am not for full size) amps are too complicated. We talked a little bit, and hé kept bragging about how thé frequency was bettet on the full size. He let me test the akg 702 without amp. Telling me I am getting ripped off with the earsonicsI own the westone 3 and to me I prefer the sound

he told me that intras impedance should be at 2 to 10. Since the earsonic are higher he was amazed. I told him intra's impedance are higher then 15 most of the time. He lastly told me i should be getting stuff from big brands Like bose, koss then a small brand
i told him that bose has a bad reputation on here and overprice. He told me people that people ( you guys) are a bunch of haters and dont know what your talking about it's an awesome brand. He told me that he is the speciAlist. I try defending the forum but not having a lot of knowledge i could not prove that looking at thé frequency range does not tell anything on the product.

I let after and i told him ill come back but he know i wont

I'm sorry he's a victim of Bose's propaganda. I bet he's just going by the latest fad, and not having a clue what he's saying.

Not this again. Haven't we had enough Bose bashing threads?

This time it is more than that. Because this time there is a guy calls us haters and not know what we are talking about because we don't listen to Bose

btw its not a bose bashing thread

I know. I was being sarcastic, since what that salesguy told you sounds eerily similar to something a Best Buy employee would tell you.
All the headfiers should visit that store, and then argue with that guy about how much Monster is better than Bose, and that Dr. Dre would never endorse anything crappy.

I met a bose sales guy at an air port. He tried to convince me that the bose is trying to make a natural bass. I hear so much boom from the headphones he asked me to try, and I told him there's too much bass. He just kept insisting that it's a  more "natural" sound which he never elaborated upon. Good natured guy but I really don't think they're being hired for being audiophiles .

Wow!  Whether or not someone likes Bose is partly a matter of personal opinion, but some of the things he said are just wrong.  Anything with an impedance less than 16 ohms is unusable.

Did you ask the salesman what his commission on Bose was opposed to the other brands?

To their credit, the Bose salesfolk at the mall across from my old office were pleasant. I occasionally wandered in for a listen. Though I never brought up Head-Fi or what I'm listening to at home.
