Performance wise, the IEM you chose, in what characteristic what does it shine over the others in?

I apologize if I missed some good IEMs, I'm only going by what's on the top of my head.

it may not have a specific flavor or signature but it basically doesnt do anything wrong. it plays any kind of music exceptionally without trying too hard. imo the best universal ever made

Earsonics SM3 for audio bliss and the Westone 4 for balance...you may want to try top dynamic iems like Sony EX1000 or JVC FX700, known for the dynamic timbre, but the 2 BA iems can already be close in terms of timbre. Though the 2 dynamic iems are not well for use on-the-go....Presentation-wise aggressiveness, timbre liquid mids, and if you have a player with eq settings for treble like the Cowon J3, Earsonics is very good. For balanced presentation-wise, non-agressive, all-around iem for balanced players, Westone 4 is your best iem. Well it all goes down to your choice.

Shure 535/530 is okay got problems with highs and lows, and the Monsters are okay but not my cup of tea.

If I were a analytical listener, I may settle with DBA-02 or CK10. Though I am more on the sweet lush or tamed mids, with bass that goes deep, alright extended treble and very excellent presentation of soundstage and instrument separation, also fast...well that goes to both SM3 and W4.

Voted 'other' as well.  ES5 for me.  Best combination of musical engagement and technical performance I've heard so far.

slightly off topic, but I voted other because I've become convinced that customs are worth it

I take it the OP is more interested in universal IEMs and if anything, perhaps the UM3X, TF10 & SM3 should've been added as all three are quite popular and highly regarded. Otherwise we'll plenty of JH13/ JH16/ UE18/ UE11/ ES5 owners voting 'other'.

Other: 425s

I honestly prefer 425s over 535s. I also enjoyed the TF10s and IE8s. Never heard a Westone before unfortunately.

Monster Miles Davis for fun and resolution; but especially for the lazy factor of not needing to wear over-the-ear. You won't end up holding back listening over not wanting to handle them to put them on.
