FiiO has not done anything illegal!
And if you think that this is not right then follow the link and get certified https://www.google.com/android/uncertified/

Precisely. If they are pointing to an official Google site to get registered, what they did is 100% legal. I registered my device and the site would've blocked my device ID if it isn't recognized as a Play Store certified device. My suggestion is to let Fiio worry about the legalities and start enjoying the Google Play in your player. All's well that ends well @Budulay Romalov. :)

Download link: http://fiio-file.fiio.net/Google_Play_Update.zip

How to update: Copy the firmware package file to the internal memory or micro SD card; Open "Technical Support" app on the M11/M11PRO/M15->enter the "Firmware Update" menu->select the firmware package file to upgrade.

Note: The Google Play partial library will prompt for updates after connecting to the Wifi for the first time. Restart it so that you could use it normally.

What can be done if receiving 'the device is not certified' in Google Play?

Currently, Google has closed the channel of GMS certification for Android 7.0 devices. So you will be prompted that the device is not certified. You can register your device by following the steps below:
(The deivce without certification could use Google Play normally still, but some apps with high security requirements could not be searched. )

1. Install the DeviceID.apk

2. Click it to get the 'Google Service Framework' and then copy it

3. Go to the following website and fill in the ID copied from step 2
https://www.google.com/android/uncertified/

If you have any questions or advices, please post in this thread or send an email to support@fiio.com

Best regards

From UAPP team:

Can anyone validate that an app like Qobuz or Amazon music is actually playing at variable high resolutions?

@FiiO @WianFiiO any feedback?

I also have an issue as to how to get UAPP on my FiiO M11. The M11 is the only Android device I have, so any tips on how to purchase UAPP and then side load via apk without another Android device?

At this moment your problem isn't installing Uapp, but buying trough an Android device. They said it would be soon available a new version of Uapp, visible to Fiio Daps in Google play. Until that, if you can't wait, ask a friend who has a spare Android device they don't use, borrow& install fresh Google account (the same you will have on Fiio's Dap), buy Uapp, extract it and install it on your Dap. Then erase& format the borrowed device and give it back to your friend. That's all.

So my M11 (non-pro) went from 100 to 0 in standby/sleep (only short usage as USB DAC) with the play store installed. This is not acceptable! I have the theory that the Google Play Store and Services are not properly going to sleep and stay active all the time. Unfortunately, the M11 has no battery statistics...
