I think Sennheiser still has a few that are close to that range, though it really is mostly older studio headphones that have any reason to have such a high impedance. Those higher range headphones are easier to run in a group without blowing out distribution amps in a studio.
I don't even understand why have 600ohms when 32ohms is all you need.
There are others, but very few. Mostly ortho are power hungry
You do understand that you need a big blown out headphone amp to run a 600ohm can, right?
I'm happy I modded my receiver to run 600ohms. Anything more and I would actually need to buy a headphone amp.
It's a bit more complicated than whether low or high impedance headphones are easier to drive.
If you have low impedance headphones and they are being run in a series, each headphone you add makes a major difference in the draw on the amp. High impedance headphones create a more consistent and predictable draw from the amp, and it prevents blowing the amp in the peaks.
