Yeah, if you have some spare points, you actually have to wait for certain item not to be on sale in order to use them and then with the limited amount of points you can use, you end up with not much of a discount after all.

It's a bit discouraging for people who write reviews, take pictures and videos or whatever to earn points, since their value and usage is quite limited.
