(12/03 Updated) Introducing the world's first LEAR patented -NS(NatroSound) earphone technology!

I had the Rockets on loan, but that was quite some time ago and I don't feel confident comparing them, save for saying the NS-U1's sound signature reminds me somewhat of the former's. I own the FA VII, which are tuned more neutral than the VIII. Never heard the VIII myself I'm afraid.

Sorry for the typo, VII is what I meant to say. I had both VII and VIII for a while, returned both because their soundstage to me wasn't as wide as that of the Dita The Answer NT.

VIII is a much thicker sounding IEM than VII and R2Pro and definitely not neutral. As I recall VII doesn't have any of the forward presentation of the R2, so the NS-U1 will do the best job regarding forward presentation.

FAD VII have actually pretty large soundstage for deep fitting BA IEMs, but of course they're no match for shallow fitting (and probably vented) DDs. Not much of a forward projection either, I agree.

Not neccesarily looking for a universal set with the deepest bass rumble at the moment, most important for me to know now is that LEAR achieved the forward projection on these, smoother highs on the NS-U1 compared to the R2's is a bonus. Although I'm very eager to audition the NS-U1 universals I'm waiting for someone like Tatco Ma to incorporate this kind of forward projection natural sound technology with aforementioned features (like hearing protective capabilities/soundsig knob/semi-hard shell and greeeaaat soundstage/spaciousness) into a flush fit - non protruding (..) CIEM. Meanwhile I'll try to get my hands on a NS-U1 loaner pair to leverage my curiosity (European Trading Club anyone ?

)

For flush fitting CIEMs, they'd most likely need to go BA instead of DD. Entirely different pair of shoes in my book, when it comes to naturalness of sound reproduction. That said, I'd love to have a NSS equipped phone with the best DDs I've heard so far, the titanium coated LCP drivers DUNU used for their DN-2000J. Now, THAT would be something, hint hint...

As for a loaner, unless LEAR are willing to tour a demo pair in Europe, I doubt the backers who waited so long would want to part with their pair at that early stage. I've literally only had mine for a few days, not even found time to compare them to much else besides my Flares. I can offer to send you my own pair at a later date though, if you're still interested then, no problem.

Unfortunately I have never auditioned the DN-2000J. When LEAR is up to the challenge I expect them to go BA with the NS tech and I hope Tatco will pick up the glove to make it sound as natural as he possibly can.

Haven't seen any Europe tour announced by LEAR, I'd love to be included. Thank you very much for offering your pair as a loaner, that's very kind of you I'll keep that in mind and maybe send you a PM for that in a few weeks

Dear Tatco Ma,

I'm sure you are still very busy delivering the NS-U1 IEMs and I hope things are going well.  If you happen to get a free moment, can you let us know when the new cables for the NS-U1 might be available?  I'm still very much enjoying the NS-U1 sound, they haven't been off my Xuelin 960 dual core since I got them.  Thank you again.

Thank you so much for your keeping support!
Barring unforeseen delays, we can start to ship the NSC-03 before the end of December.
Please stay tuned!

In the future, this gesture will be the symbol for a NS-U1! If you ever see U1 users scrubbing on the street,
it's probably because that they're enjoying the bass control and NS effect via the NSC-03!

Coming before Christmas

Tatco Ma,

When would you like us to start applying to receive the new cable (NSC-03)?  Do you want us to send you a copy of our review of the NS-U1?  Thanks.

@Tatco Ma:

Have you planned for a European NS-U1 tour or even a full line up tour?

Any chance of you having a dealership in Europe soon?

Any hints as to which (C)IEM from the current line up will have the NS technology? Perhaps even willing to share your thoughts on future developments and integration with other technologies/features?
