My main problem with Hifiman's headphones is the weight, and it seems they finally managed to fix it(?), their new designs are passable to me.
And I welcome more new electrostats to the market as long as they can run off stax pro bias
bought a KGSSHV recently but still don't have any electrostats to use with orz
Yeah, hopefully they fixed it...
Yay, now go import some STAX from Japan!
Maybe I should give you a visit once I get a job lol. And some sort of STAX.
Yes. Join the STAX mafia!
There isn't one song on here that's quite as good as "get lucky"

But yeah, RAM was a fine album, but Discovery and Homework top it.
Also, Discovery is still housey, while RAM is just plain Synth Disco/Funky Disco/whatever.
I like the disco/funk part though! But there's enough of that in Discovery that it's still awesome. Now I need to watch the anime movie that used this album as its soundtrack!
Isn't this how it usually works though? People like the new thing (album in this case) but still prefer the old thing?
Anybody have a better aggregate site for "getting" seasonal anime? Using Shanaproject is useful once the season's on its way, but the start always is the worst part of it.
Nyaa's RSS reader?
You could also look into Flexget. Although it takes a bit of work to get working every season (and I still need to set it up again for this season) it couldn't get any easier once you get it set up.
I wanna know, can android support flash drive and external DAC at the same time?
And all> 4.0 supports USB OTG right? Without the neen for root?
I'm not completely sure. See next paragraph.
No. My Nexus 4 doesn't support it by default, and won't work with any non-powered USB devices from what I hear. I haven't bothered to look into it any more though. Also, not every OTG compatible device supports external DACs.
Thanks for the info. Although I will say that I don't mind if a headphone is colored, as long as I like the sound. I am not partial to neutrality or anything. =P And I would love to get a pair of electrostats, but I don't have an amp to power them, and I also wanted to use whatever headphones I get in a semi-portable setup. On that note, I am getting the HE-500's right now from either Head-Direct or Moon-Audio. Thanks for the recommendations everyone.
Yeah, but a lot of people would argue Grado's go beyond simple "coloration" and into horrible headphone design... >.>
If you don't mind used, you may wanna check this out:

I bought a "returned" HE-400 for $200 from him and the transaction worked out pretty well.
Sometimes the lack of foresight I have is incredible, especially for very obvious things.
So, about two months ago one side of my in-ears started to come apart. Duct tape is my good friend though, so that was an easy enough fix.
![](https://www.head-fi.org/attachments/1013901/)
That works for a while, I had to switch the tape occasionally but otherwise things were fine. Instead of thinking
"oh, they're falling apart. I should probably get new ones, which will mean saving money" I completely toss that out the window and preorder the Bravely Default collectors edition. The total for that came to an ugly $54.34, basically all of the Christmas money that my parents gave me.
Unsurprisingly, the side of the in-ears that was coming apart completely stopped working. Guess it's time to save money to find some other in-ears that I like. I still have my full size headphones at least. And I probably will have no regrets with the game since I'm enjoying the demo. But I'm still not sure how I just decided that nothing bad would happen when I first had to fix them.
In actual anime news, I keep putting off finishing FMA Brotherhood. I'm like, five episodes from the end and continue getting distracted by other shows.
Lol, what kind of in-ears are those?
A 65 episode series and you're stuck on the last five episodes?
Already through Bravely Default (EU ftw).
Great great game. It's like playing FF9 or so again
Any idea what IEMs you will be saving money for?
I'm seriously loving the demo. I'm addicted already haha. I've only played two FF games, neither all the way through.
Not sure yet. I have a $50 limit probably, my boyfriend doesn't know much about that price range so he's not a
ton of help. Considering the RHA MA350s, the 3 year warranty is tempting, but I've heard terrible things about the cable so I'm not sure.
This is a bit of a long shot, but if there are any Ross Dress for Less stores in the area up there, you may want to take a look there. Some stores had the $100 IE-800 for $20, and the ~$180 BA200 for $25. I was able to find the former at one of the stores in Seattle. I already sold them to a friend though. Both are pretty good at their retail prices, and are frankly a steal if there are any left at any stores.
@MechG: Yeah that keyboard seems like the kind of "idea" you would want, if it actually worked. I am thinking I might try to remote in to the HTPC with my tablet and use the touch screen as my input, don't know how smooth that would be though.
Yep, it's not very good, and I'm just too lazy to buy a new one.
My Biostar motherboard actually came with a remote app for smartphones and tablets, but I never used it much. The idea of either A: having to unlock my smartphone/tablet every time I wanted to pause or change media files (especially when watching some of the more ecchi shows like DXD and someone walks in) never really appealed to me and B: There's always the possibility my "remote" could die.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.
Hate the character design.
Ooh, you must watch it. The creepy loli faces only make it that much more disturbing when they go on a murderous rampage.
