    Amp for DT770 32 ohm

Hi, I would like to know if anyone has experimented with amping the 32 ohm version the DT770, and what your experience was. If not, can anyone recommend an amp for it, under $200? Hopefully at a place I could return the amp if I'm not satisfied.

(Almost) unamped ATH-W1000X to replace DT770/80

Hello : )   I already hear some of you, at the mere sight of the title, shouting and crying, saying that you don't buy 600€ to use them unamped, that a mobile phone will sound better, that i should burn in the fires of hell. Please read (a bit) further (or just skip the post and read the...

Question about the DT 770 Pro

Is it true that the 80 ohm version of these cans are more bass heavy? Im planning on buying a pair and amping it with a hud-mx1. Im kind of unsure whether to get the 80ohm or 250ohm.

Left more sensitive than right on my DT770/80 Pros

I have a Darkvoice 337 with dual volume knobs (dual monaural), but it seems that no matter what I can't seem to balance the left and right. It seems that the right side is harder to drive than the left, because one twitch on the left equals 9 to 11 oclock on the right. Is it just me, or the amp...

Beyerdynamic DT770 premium with portable amp

Hey ive been looking around in the forums to see if a portable amp would be enough to power the dt770 premium 250 ohm. im looking specifically at the fiio e11 or e7.  Im almost sure any portable amp will work with the 32 ohm due to its lower impedence.  my question basically is whether i should...

HD 580 vs DT 770 Pro

I recently got my hands on some hd580's which my friend gave me.  I have to say I am a little disappointed in them when compared to my DT pro 770s.  The soundstage is not as vast and the lows and highs are not as bright or clean sounding.  I am running these unamped through my macbook.  Maybe...

JUST BOUGHT THE DT770'S AND RATTING!

Just bought these DT770's 80 ohms, and the first thing I notice is that the left side rattles when I listen to bass songs (I have to turn it down very low not to hear it).  I was wondering is this a easy fix, or do I just need to let the headphones burn in?  Thanks.

    Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO THOUGHTS

Who here likes these headphones? Are they good for deep bass songs as well as jazz and classical where the details are important? Does the lack of a detachable cord turn you off? Do they need an amp? How is the long term comfort? (I usually use my headphones on cross-atlantic 14hrs+ flights)

Amp my Beyerdynamic DT 770 600 ohm

I recently acquired a pair of pre '05 DT 770s. They were owned for a while before me so I don't have the box, but the impedance is 600 ohms so I'm pretty sure they're the Premiums and not the Pros. Any suggestions on an amp - portable or otherwise - that would work well with these? I would like...

Beyerdynamic DT770/990 pads on Ultrasone 900?

So I have recently purchased a pair of Ultrasone Pro 900, and I've noticed that a lot of people have modified the stock pads.  Since Ultrasone doesn't offer any good replacement pads (I don't wanna spend $30 + shipping on pleather pads), I need to strip off the spare pads and make my own.  ...

Beyerdynamic DT 770 - 600 Ohm amp question

I've finally decided to sell my AKG 701 which run off a tube amp (Doge 6210) as well as a portable Mamba d4.  The presentation is great although bass shy at low volume and sound almost too bright at louder levels.  The problem is that when I bought this set up, I didn't know about open...
