I have 2 planars and 2 high impedance. So it would be cool if the tube amp played nice with both.

@Ridewave, the ZMF Aegis definitely lights up both planars and high impedance headphones. And yes, that is cool.

Custom 9.2mm Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) dynamic driver for impressive low-frequency reproduction down to 10 Hz.
Detailed and natural sound signature with a slight U-shaped curve.
Smooth and coherent midrange with excellent vocal clarity and instrument separation.
Dual ultra-tweeter balanced armature drivers for extended high frequencies with clarity.
Above-average technicalities with excellent detail retrieval.
Easy to drive with a wide range of audio sources.
Innovative "Pentaconn Ear" connector for improved durability and ease of use.

Thanks for the reply. I'm probably going to buy it. I'm a tad concerned about the recessed mids and troublesome upper mids? But what the hell, for 399 why not? Anyone from the US bought one from hifigo? How long did that joint take to get to you?

@Jacobal I don't currently have the Andromeda available for a side-by-side comparison.

@vikinguy The midrange is not recessed but rather slightly laid back, which makes listening to energetic music genres comfortable. The vocals, especially female vocals, are sublime, as you will hear for yourself.

New Head-Fier
Pros: Small and lightweight
Feature rich
Neutral sound signature
Physical buttons
Supports High-Res codecs
Stable Bluetooth connection
Decent battery life

Cons: No Type A to Type C adapter or Type C to Type C data cable
Just barely enough power for most IEMs
No balanced output
No independent volume control without the app
Find W3 II feature is underwhelming

baskingshark

Headphoneus Supremus
Pros: Decent accessory line-up
Anti-gravity magnetic clasp to hold earbud in the case
Very ergonomic and light
Acceptable battery life
Supports wireless charging
Voice assistant available, with 3 mics per earpiece for clear calls
IPX5 waterproofing
ANC and ambient mode included
Free Creative app available to unlock goodies like EQ and touch button customization
Extremely stable Bluetooth range and connectivity, compatible with various Bluetooth formats
One for bassheads in stock form
Smooth treble and upper mids, without harshness
Cons: LDAC codec not compatible
Coherency issues - in stock mode, bass is boomy, slow and untextured compared to faster xMEMS drivers handling the treble
Not for purists or neutral-heads, due to boosted bass with mid-bass bleed (thankfully ANC mode or EQ on the app can shave off the massive bass)

I would like to thank Creative for providing this unit. The Aurvana Ace 2 can be gotten here (no affiliate links)...

I agree with the coherency issues. The technology shows a lot of promise, but for now, I still prefer my Sony 4s and 5s over LDAC.

TechieFelixLP

New Head-Fier
Pros: Switches changes sound
Wide perceived soundstaging
Versatile with a lot of genres
Movie experience is something else with Soundstage+ config
Cons: Not All Configuration works well (for me at least, the Bass+ isn't my thing)
Itchy Cable (Although they said it's now changed)
Awkward fitting
Perhaps not enough sparkle on female vocals.

Warm regards. I don't want to be a sage, but the number of 5 drivers per shell fits in my opinion also in the case of PRO 2. Those BA drivers are of dual design (apparently 2 combined in one body), so there are really up to 4 in each shell. So the name ZS 10 will stand for this version as well. Thanks for the review. 🖖

Overall improvement of the sound quality without significant change of the sound signature
Cons: For people who expect huge change you may be disappointed
Not cheap (more than 1/3 the price of the IER-Z1R)
Long waiting time
