hotaudio40 's amps
Hello everyone, I'm having a problem. I've had my Hotusb1 now for over a year and it has worked great up until recently. Just last week I started getting massive amounts of digital noise through the unit whenever I would move or click the mouse, or even when web pages were loading. I Emailed...- LaserWolf

hey all. so sorry I haven't posted an in depth review of my Hotusb1 yet, I'm back in school now and so I haven't really had the time. anyway. I love the sound of it and I've been comparing it to some of the pro gear that my school has and I must say that it really holds it's own. I have one...- LaserWolf

Audio-Technica ATH-A700 + Creative X-fi usb sound card
IMO your best bet would be to get a dedicated DAC/AMP. I'm running off a laptop right now as well, and I'm using the HOTUSB1 which is an amazing little piece of hardware that you can get for only about $60USD. It's one downside is that it doesn't have a built in volume control, seeing as how...- LaserWolf

I got my hotsub 1 two days ago and I must say that I love it. I'm new to the world of Hi-Fi so I'm not that great at analyzing sounds yet, but I'll post thoughts on the Hotusb as I use it more. so far the biggest thing about the Hotusb 1 is just how quiet it is. when coming out of my laptop...- LaserWolf

I just ordered the Hotusb1 and I must say that Dave provides the best customer service I have ever experienced, hands down. he worked with me in figuring out an Ebay issue and then once I ordered one from his online store he had it tested and shipped within an hour and a half. Comments on ATH M50?Also thinking about the Denon 2000 now!
I just got a pair of the M-50's and I really like them. I don't really have that great a point of reference though seeing as how they are my first pair of good quality headphones. Right now I'm listening to a Buddy Rich SACD through my laptop and I think they sound pretty good. a couple...- LaserWolf

600 Ohm Headphones!?
I was cleaning out my practice room for remodeling and I found this old pair of headphones. I thought they were pretty uninteresting until I saw written on the side 600 ohm. If anyone knows anything about these I'd love to know.- LaserWolf

Would the Mbox 2 Mini Be Powerfull Enough to fully power the AKG 271 MkII
Like it says in the title. I'm going to be purchasing a Digidesign Mbox 2 Mini for school and I was wondering if it would be powerful enough to fully run the AKG 271 Mk II which I would be using for mixing and monitoring. here's a link to the product page Digidesign Mbox 2 Mini- LaserWolf

I just have a quick question. How bad is the sound leakage on the K701's would they be appropriate to use in a lab setting (multiple computers/multiple people) I'm a sound design student so I'd be working in areas where there is the possibility of other People hearing them/would need to not hear...- LaserWolf

What type of headphones do you recommend for a sound student?
I'm really looking to spend between $150 and $200. it's like I posted earlier. I really want to buy the more expensive set now so that down the road i won't necessarily need to upgrade quite as soon. Thanks for the suggestion though.- LaserWolf

What type of headphones do you recommend for a sound student?
hmm, thanks for the input but from what I've found it seems like the Rolands are more for Dance music. okay. more questions. sorry to be so picky. If i completely disregarded the need for them to be usable with the Ipod, how would the 271's fit my needs. It seems like they're recommended for...- LaserWolf
