Need help with jack soldering with mic and volume control
Curious about this as well, trying to get the new jack on and not having any luck. Edit: OK got it. The Green wire is the left channel, Red wire is the right channel. The Green/Gold and Red/Gold wires are your ground wire. And the White wire with gold strands around it is the mic/remote...- lasraik

DIY Desktop Headphone Amps: Where to start?
I usually stay away from eBay kits. I enjoy finding the parts and ordering them, sorting through each one and finding different alternatives. TestSubject thanks for the links, I'll check them out- lasraik

DIY Desktop Headphone Amps: Where to start?
Awesome, I'll look into those. If I go over that price it's no big deal but I figure I'll start with a low price range for my first then expand from there.- lasraik

DIY Desktop Headphone Amps: Where to start?
I'm halfway decent with electronics and have made a couple of cmoyBB's for fun. Ready to start building a desktop amp and have read a bit about them. But much like the cmoy is a good place to start for portable amps, which desktop amp would you suggest starting with? Don't really have a...- lasraik

InEarZ (Fisher Hearing) Custom Remold Owner's Thread
Quote: Thanks for the advice. I'll try them for a couple weeks and send them back. The one complaint I have is that you don't know when (or if) they receive your iems until you get called for payment or send an email asking for an update. Other than that it was a pretty painless...- lasraik

Keeping ears clean
Sorry to bump an old thread but I just came back from a visit to the Audiologist to get impressions done on my ears. Since I was there I figured I'd ask her about peroxide in the ear to clean them, she said you should never put peroxide in your ears. It eats through the tissue in your ear...- lasraik

IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING
You are exactly right, pseudohippy, they require a hole to be drilled in it. I spoke with Kayson on the phone (who was very nice and has been nothing but helpful through this process), they can do super.fi 5 eb's and even have a pair now they are remolding. It does require a hole to be...- lasraik

IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING
Okay I feel better about it now :) Surprisingly the place that charges $25 was the most professional and friendly when I called to inquire so it worked out pretty well. Just to be sure I re-emailed Kayson asking to confirm they will remold super.fi 5 EBs. Hoping to hear back so I can...- lasraik

IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING
I emailed Kaysen and asked about it after reading that in this thread and was told that they would remold them. Kaysen sent me the necessary paperwork to fill out. I made an appointment for next Monday to get impressions done for $25. My concern is that there is some difference in...- lasraik

IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING
After doing some research and reading this thread I decided to get my UE Super.fi 5 EB's molded. I called around for Audiologists in the area and found a very wide range for cost on having impressions done. From $25 - $200 dollars. Is there a big difference in the quality of an...- lasraik

Help repairing UE Super.fi 5 EB's
I have a pair of super.fi 5 EBs that I love. But the problems started when the cable got caught on my seat handle during a flight and was pulled out of the earpiece. I repaired it but since then the casing has been falling apart on the buds. I keep fixing it with some epoxy but a few...- lasraik

Why do 99.9% of ipod users use the apple buds?

Why do 90% of the people use iPod/iPhone as their portable player?
So many Apple haters here. I used to be an Apple hater. I tried all other players I could find. I had white screen of death issues with Cowon and even though it was a known issue they did nothing about it so I have a nice paper weight now. The Zune was OK with good sound quality but...- lasraik
