    Closed Headphones Suggestions

From what I've read about the ATH-ES7 I gather that they don't isolate very well so I wasn't going to consider them despite the love that numerous people have for them. Skylab: Did you do an AB comparaison between the 770pro, RP21 and HD25-1? If so I'd love to hear your comments on their...

    Closed Headphones Suggestions

I'm looking for some closed head phones that offer good SQ, good isolation, sound good unamped and are somewhat portable. Currenly I own a pair of MS-1s that I love but am looking for something I can take with me when I travel (on planes or trains, etc...). I'd like to stay at $150, but if...

    Electricity in New Zealand

I don't suppose anyone know where to pick up a decent plug adaptor. I did a quick search and found a lot of kits with adaptors for everywhere but a bunch of them looked like they didn't have the ground, although the one that did have the ground looked the like the drawing up the page. Do UK and...

    Electricity in New Zealand

i know, I was just making sure. I figured that there would be a few jokes but I was told in grade school that there's no such thing as a stupid question... especially if it can be entertainment for others! as for plug adaptors I would assume that they're are pretty much the same since all...

    Electricity in New Zealand

Hey, I'm planning on travelling and working around New Zealand for 6-12 months in the near future and I was wondering what the best kind of power converter would be for the following electronics so that I can recharge them in New Zealand: 1. Cannon s70 Li battery charger 2. Laptop 3...

Thinking of getting a Digital Camera

I'm looking to get a digital camera and was wondering what some good resources are to research and try and find which camera suits me best. Thanks in advance.

    E3C worth the extra $$ over E2s?

If source is important to these 'phones which would sound best out of a Zen Xtra unamped, because I would use these mainly when travelling and isolation from ambient noise is crucial (airplane, bus, etc...).

    E3C worth the extra $$ over E2s?

Well I wouldn't say that bass is really important to me in my music, it's just that I like having some bass and from what I've read the stys in this price range ER-6 have little bass but excellent highs. Out of curiosity, which of these two phones has more of the Grado sound. I really like my...

    E3C worth the extra $$ over E2s?

I've been looking to get some canal phones for when noice cancelling is needed and can't really afford to be spending more than $150 (and even that is stretching my budget as a student). I considered the etys in the price range, but I'd trade some analyticity for a stronger low-end. Anyway, for...

    Car Audio Review Site?

Does anyone know of a good site with car audio reviews? Or a good message board like this one? I am looking to pick up a head unit, probably with an aux input (aka line in) so I can hook up a mp3 player to the unit. I've done some looking, but can't find exactly what I want. I keep getting these...

Best software to organize my haywire mp3 collection?

You could try a program called musicbrainz (found at www.musicbrainz.org). It compares tracks on your computer to the ids it has in its database and makes correct guesses at what the track is ~80% of the time (for me with some very obscure songs). The rest of the time you can just manually look...

? for Dell DJ, Karma, Zen Xtra, IHP owners

Just a slight correction, on the Xtra you can hit the power button to bring up the menu then select ok to lock the player. You don't need to press play as well.

    Stocks going up, up, up!!

John Dessauer's. My dad gets it and passes me a copy. I must admit I've been a little lucky in picking which of the stocks he recommends to invest in, but his advice is usually very solid.

    Stocks going up, up, up!!

I've made at least 30% every year for the last 4 years... which is about enough so that I don't have much debt coming out of college (and I am at a private liberal arts college)... maybe if I get myself a decent paying job I'll finally be able to afford a good system...

need replacement cheap phones for < $10....

One more thing, the Bose triports definetely aren't the best sounding headphone in the $150-$200 range. By sealed I assume you mean closed headphones, phones like the AT A900, HFI-650, and others recommended. Heres an old thread I found using the "search" function that may be of some assistance...

need replacement cheap phones for < $10....

Anandtech forum is aslo a good place to aske about monitors. If I were you I'd go to sennheiserusa.com and grab the mx400 earbuds which are $9.99 with free shipping or else I'd grab the same phones from newegg.comfor about $13 shipped. They are far superior to anything in the <$10 range.

Where to buy senn mx 400s OFF the net?

I know sennheiserusa.com had them in their store for $9.99 shipped -- although whether they have them in stock is another question entirely. You might try giving them a call as their webstore doesn't keep track of inventory from what I can see.
