Most likely the cable is broken internally at the point where it leaves the 3.5mm jack. This is a common flaw of the whole Yuin lineup. Happened to me on two pairs of PK3 and one pair of PK2. After that I got fed up with Yuin and bought the Sennheiser MX 980

Yuin PK2, end of discusssion. Even the PK3 is much better than the K314P from my experience. If you order from head-direct.com, they will ship via DHL Express, I didn't have any problems with delivery and live in a nearby eastern european country
