Great Christian albums?
While we're on Christian Metal, Theocracy's Mirror of Souls is pretty good. -
What cans do you plan on buying in 2010?
Hopefully something around the middle of the pack. Maybe from Audio Technica, I don't really know. All I have now are lower-class headphones, but I feel like an upgrade is in order.- elmer_42

Hotaudio Destroyer first impression ($50 DAC)
I've been thinking about getting a PA2v2 for my SR 80s, has anybody tried this with the PA2v2? I don't think I'd even need it, but I figured I might as well check.- elmer_42

Do you listen daily? For how long?
I hear up to around 5 or 6 daily, but most of that time I'm doing schoolwork. Generally, I get to really listen to about an hour or two max every day. -

Christian Rock
Oh my goodness. Fantastic thread; I'm enjoying both Neal Morse and Theocracy right now. -
Christian Rock
For what it's worth, I've been enjoying Sanctus Real (especially their album Fight the Tide) and the Robbie Seay Band lately. -
Best Buy Headphone help...
As far as ear buds go, many people consider the Yuin PK3s only slightly worse than the KSC75s and they are $39 on Head-Direct. I'm looking into getting a pair myself.- elmer_42

Good music that's available for free? Legally?
There's some good stuff on Jamendo. Specifically, I'm enjoying Rob Costlow and Revolution Void right now. There's some other good stuff on there, browse around and you're bound to find some stuff you enjoy. The only problem with Jamendo is that you can only get 192kb MP3s or q7 OGGs. -

advice me what should i get...
Yes, many people can attest to the fact that the Grado headphones are a great value for their cost. If I was you, I would buy the Grado SR60 and some bowl pads. That comes out to about $80, which leaves you with $70 to roll into the purchase of some better headphones down the line. Or you...- elmer_42

What source to get? $150 range, SQ important
I would go for the D2 4GB. The great thing about it is the SDHC expansion, so you're not stuck with a 4GB player and a 50GB music collection. Yes, the Zen has the SDHC capability as well, but the music is not integrated as if it were on the main storage.- elmer_42

Coverville
Lifehacker just did an article on the creator of an interesting podcast called "Coverville". I just downloaded the latest episode and am listening to it right now. I can't make a decision on whether I like it with the 8 minutes I've heard of it, but I thought some of you might want to check it out. -

AKG 501 vs Grado SR60
I can testify to the awesomeness of the SR80s. They sound great with Rock and Prog Rock (AC/DC, Pink Floyd, King Crimson), Acoustic (Andy McKee, Micheal Hedges), and Electronica (Paul van Dyk, Daft Punk, Tiesto). Coincidentally, these are the main genres I listen to. The acoustic sounds...- elmer_42
