My exact sentiments. Yes these are niche products, but the pricing trajectory is becoming absurd.

At this point, Im not concerned about how much they cost. I won't be buying them. I don't like the way HiFiman have gone about this. Shure SE530. Sound signature a pinch too dark for me. Besides that, i had to send them back for repairs...twice in less than a year.

I would certainly endorse the Shure over the Dt770. The DT770 pro was actually one of my first real cans, about 6 years ago. At the time i thought they were the best thing ever.Nothing wrong them, but now i just cant stand the subwoofer bass. If thats what your looking for, then they might do it...
