So yes, have you been in the situation where you've decided to sell the particular headphone, but then regretted and purchased it again later? Or at least considering getting it again right now?

For me, it's hd600. I traded them for the shure se530, and now 2 years later I am really tempted to buy them again, for some reason I feel that I didn't give them enough justice back then as I've owned them for only a week or so... Just waiting for a good deal now, but I will definitely get them again :p

Stax Sigmas, bought no less than four times (if I count in a Sigma Pro as well) and I am thinking of selling my current pair again, it is pretty much a love and hate sorta relationship

I just don't listen to them as much as I should but now I just had to take them out for a listen.

Yes I have, quite a few times in fact. Just look at my profile I have had the DT880 at least 5 or more times...

I had the M50s twice.  Couldn't remember why I sold them, until I got them the second time.  Then I remembered that the reason I forgot why I sold them (if that makes sense) was because there was nothing special that they did.  Tried them again at 32 Ohm Audio and had the same impression.

SR60
K501
DT440

3 mid-fi gems, right there, but you dont know what you've got till its gone. The detail levels and overall balance on the K501 would flatout frighten a lot of folk who own significantly more expensive cans, IMO. They certainly frighten me :)

Sold K701, after 6 months bought K702.
Sold HD600 over year ago, in a few weeks now waiting for a new HD580) Even if HE-6 smokes them in every area, i cannot forget Sennheiser's lush, comfortable, intimate sound..
There is some kind of personal magic in HD580/HD600, hard to describe..

Sony CD3000. Currently I don't have them...again. I like their signature, but there's something about that pleather that just isn't comfy over long periods of time to me. Very sort of sweat-inducing.

I haven't re-bought anything yet, but plan to pick up the HD-600, K-501 and maybe the RS-1 one of these days. All are good headphones I really enjoyed. Thing is, the HD-800 dominates my headphone listening these days. I'm not sure if these would get enough head time to justify owning them. Still, I loved owning these.
