That fuzzy sound that you experienced with the HD-595's are probably the Sennheiser Veil that is part of the Sennheiser Sound. I like switching between my HD-600's and SR-225 for different kinds of music.

Yeah, you should wait until there are some comparisons between the ESW-9 and the IEMs that were recommended in this thread before you splurge on $1000 IEM's.

Most comfortable headphones that I've played on my head were the HD-595's. I miss them sometimes when I listen to the ESW-9.

Anyone have experience with the Predator and the ESW-9?

Count me as another person that find bowl pads on my Grado SR-225's comfortable.

I'm also looking for classical music orientated headphones but not as large as a budget as yours. The main headphones that I were looking at were, the W5000 and the AD2000. I still have to do some research on stax headphones.
