I dislike the wasted space, overly white/bright color scheme, and the lack of bbcode (I'm not a WYSIWYG fan at all). On the other hand, I do like that some things were added, for instance, the wiki, which I'm sure will be used for DIY guides and such that were previously in forum threads.- Volkum

Linux for sound?
Stable support for X-fi cards was added a few kernel versions ago. Here's a shot of it in my 2.6.33 Gentoo kernel: You'll get basic functionality with the kernel drivers. You will not get the Creative audio panel or any Windows software features like Gaming/Audio Creation/Entertainment...- Volkum

Best Tube Headphone Amp To DIY
Not much on the Bijou? I was looking at that for my first tube build--what do you guys think? My experience with DIY thus far has been: STEPS + PPAv2 + ε12 (currently moving all that from hammond cases into a single par-metal case) y1+y2 + σ25 Nothing high voltage as of yet, but I'd like...- Volkum

Trying to get started in DIY - advice?
99% isopropyl alcohol isn't that expensive. I couldn't find any locally so I ordered from here and it was about $7 with shipping. I found out later that my sister could have special ordered it through the Walgreens pharmacy (where she works), but it would only have saved me a couple bucks...- Volkum
