I have the X-fi going to my Little Dot MKII. Will the uDac be an upgrade? The raving reviews for the uDac has me pondering and I'm itching for an upgrade but I can't spend too much.

You're gonna want bass with those genres so... D2000 or DT770 is the way to go for you.

HD580 + Little Dot MK II + A700 + KSC75 $140 + $200 + $100 + $10 = $450 I feel like such a noob.

The A700 might be a bit big to be portable. You may want to look into something like the Denon 1001K or something.

I'm getting my amp soon and am excited to roll some tubes! So...which tubes would sound better, 6J1P-EV or M8100?

An amp would be nice but not neccesary for the A700s. They have low impedence so the X-Fi drives them pretty well.

Oh you will notice. Triports cannot keep up with those A700s.

Move it to another room/closet?

Lenovo Thinkpad T series. It doesn't look as nice as the Vaios or Macbooks but it is much sturdier and fits all your other requirements.

It's like half a cm around smaller than a full size CD for each pad.
