Dragonfly COBALT vs.............Discussions
Well got my second unit from MusicDirect and it has a wiggle/rattle too. So back it goes. I’ll wait until I can find a local dealer and buy one. For now I quit and will stick with my DFR. Sorely disappointed in QC issues.- Leo

Dragonfly COBALT vs.............Discussions
Oh I have patience. But it’s been a trying week at work, so getting a faulty unit, having to ship it back, and then waiting. No fun, but oh well. And then no idea if the new unit will have the same issue. So patience is a little thin. But let’s keep it on topic. I’ll read others reviews of...- Leo

Dragonfly COBALT vs.............Discussions
Well FedEx has struck again - shipping from Chicago to SoCal - they estimated arrival for Friday (shipped from MusicDirect on Monday) and once again they failed. Lodged a complaint that their estimates are off for shipping. Last time I order from MusicDirect as they only use FedEx and charge an...- Leo

Dragonfly COBALT vs.............Discussions
My replacement unit of DFC that I ordered from Music Direct (2nd Unit) arrived tomorrow - so long as FedEx doesn’t delay delivery (happened on the first shipment). If the unit still has the defect I’ll notify Audioquest who may tell me to just return it to the merchant like last time. If that’s...- Leo

Dragonfly COBALT vs.............Discussions
Yeah, I let the folks at Audioquest know about the issue, but they could only recommend me returning it to the merchant. So hopefully the next unit doesn't have the same issue. If it does then I'm done for now and wait out this round.- Leo

Dragonfly COBALT vs.............Discussions
Same issue with my unit. It shipped from Music Direct - took 5 days get here thanks to a FedEx delay of a day. Unit is loose and has an audible rattle. Not pleased. Waiting on a RMA notice from Music Direct/FedEx to ship it back and maybe have a working unit within 2 weeks (depends on shipping...- Leo

Dragonfly COBALT vs.............Discussions
Audioquest posted some comments on using the Cobalt with Jitterbug in their Instagram feed - they state use the Jitterbug in a different port and not to run the two serially (piggyback). The Cobalt has some filtering built-in but it doesn’t have an actual Jitterbug inside.- Leo

Yes there should be a bit thicker cable used with these headphones. Glad to see Audioquest provided two in the packaging. And they've left the door open for other cables to be created and used with the NightHawks. Here's the photo of the two included with my purchase.- Leo

Been enjoying mine since this past Monday 7/13. Very comfy and listenable. Will keep listening and breaking them in. Great job to Audioquest and the team for their first foray into the headphone game. I'll be curious what their Beetle can do.- Leo

ARRIVED: new Rega DAC
Something seems amiss with your DAC or it's connection. I've used mine fine with SPDIF and HiFace Two as well as AQ USB cable without problem. Be sure you're connections are solid and the playback software is using the right connection to see the DAC. Good luck.- Leo

ARRIVED: new Rega DAC
Hey folks, so I've had the Rega DAC for the better part of 6 months now and love it. It's paired up with a Mac mini 2009, Audioquest Diamond USB, Rega DAC with Columbia IC's out into the analog bypass of my NAD T175/973 pre/amp output to a pair of PSB Imagine B's. Most of my audio is 16/44 but...- Leo

DEPECHE MODE ON SACD!
Great. So Amazon has it lower now. Just beware not to buy it thru the US site as they list it $34.49 on their US site as an Import title vs. going to the UK site and finding the same product for much cheaper: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...Fencoding=UTF8 This is what I was comparing as... -
DEPECHE MODE ON SACD!
I got mine from CDWow.com and it was much cheaper than Amazon UK. Plus shipping was free. Very nicely done and the SACD layer is fantastic. -

When was your first headphone "WOW" and what caused it?
For me it was when I went in to audition a pair of SR225's and then got the opportunity to listen to the RS-1's. Ella and Satch sounded great over the RS-1's. Needless to say the rest is history as I've been a happy owner with the RS-1's in my rig ever since.- Leo
