Does anyone know if Hiby will be making a RS8 leather case that we can purchase separately? Or if the R8 cases that are available will fit the RS8, since both DAPs are very close in size?

On the surface, fixing it should be possible given that Hiby Music (using Tidal) does not have the issue. I actually like HiBy Music, it seems to be a well designed app, and will continue using it. But, Tidal's download for offline playback is a feature absolutely have to use in certain situations.

I have a similar Van Nuys case that I purchased for a LG v50, a long time ago. Now, I use the case with the RS8. It's a tight fit, but the velcro straps in the back allow for some adjustment.. works well. But the RS8 is a bit too heavy for wearing it on your belt.

Those look great. Here is a pic of my office setup. The Serratus plays well with the iFi Pro iCAN Signature. I use the bass boost at the 10Hz setting to add a bit more sub bass, which helps since fit in my ears are not very tight.

@KupingManja Thanks. HibyMusic does appear to behave better :o2smile: I guess Tidal may need to work with Hiby for the fix. I do like the Tidal App as music tracks can be downloaded to be played back without a network connection.

A while back I reported the MQA "crackling" issue to HiBy. They acknowledged the issue and implemented a fix for it in the new 1.10 firmware. However, I'm still running into the issue. I'm wondering if anyone running into the earlier issue can confirm that it is fixed. @twister6 @cristrix...

@KupingManja I haven't contacted Hiby yet about the crackling issue. I've seen it occur when going from non-MQA to MQA tracks. It's fairly easily reproducible for me. I'll send along the repro steps soon to Hiby and see what they say.

I've run into the same issue with Tidal. It does the jump from a lower value to 705.6K with MQA files .. and sometimes it will play, but there is no sound. I also sometimes get crackling/static on top of the music at the start of the track after this switch, the static only lasts for a few...

Yup. I'll be using Tidal or UAPP (with Tidal set to Lossless. This setting has all tracks set to 44.1 KHz). Hopefully, UAPP will get this resolved. It seems to have good synergy with Stellia. The jump from M15 to RS8 appears to be more significant for the Stellia compared to the Luna and...

Yup. I used the SpinFit CP100s from the box. With my package the red one was in the small slot. It was the first I tried, eventually I tried many of the other included ones. But the red ones fit the best for me.

I ran across your article prior to purchasing the Luna, it set me up for what to expect. I'm lucky that the best fitting tip produces the best sound for me. A couple of your music suggestions has also made it to my playlist. Many thanks!

The Luna is extremely light weight and small. For me the fit is perfect (using the red centered spinfits), helps with comfortable long listening sessions. I would guess that the size of these are an often overlooked benefit of these small powerhouse IEMs.

I've also have had multiple purchases from Penon. All items including H40 arrived intact and without any defects. Some items were slow in getting to me due to understandable shipping delays. Hopefully, the shipping issues to the US are improved now. I've found their support to be responsive...
