Midrange IEM for commuting and work for metal & edm
3 days in with one full night listening, and one night of burn-in. Seems I have a solid seal since I can't hear ANYTHING with them on with the default tips. Swapped on some sony hybrid tips from my long lost XB90's and they incrased bass a touch. “It should be very clean, clear, detailed and...- yuletide

Midrange IEM for commuting and work for metal & edm
will do! First impression: amazing treble and soundstage. Mids are crunchy. With metal guitars a bit harsh. Bass feels lacking but hoping things will open up with burn in and as my ears adjust to the more neutral sound. edit: just realized I’m an idiot and forgot to turn off the spotify eq I...- yuletide

Midrange IEM for commuting and work for metal & edm
That's a great summary, thanks for validating! Just ordered a pair, will have them to try out tomorrow. Any ideas on how to add a mic? Maybe one of those bluetooth cables or the BTR/ES100? Saw a few mic cables but mostly for 0.75mm Edit: Finally found one on Ali!- yuletide

Midrange IEM for commuting and work for metal & edm
Hey folks, just spent a week being overwhelmed by all the options that have appeared since my last purchase, when I ended up with the 1More Triple Driver. I love their sound but the left side treble just died so I am searching for a replacement. Things I love about the 1More: Sub-bass extension...- yuletide

NarMoo's Newest: B2M / W1M (Now with a Review!)
Would love to hear some update thoughts on these now that they're all burned it! I listen to mostly EDM and metal and am very interested in getting one of these (either S1, B2M or W1M). Just lost my pair of GranVela V1's and looking for something to replace them with that has solid bass...- yuletide

Headphones for DJ-ing and everyday listening @ $300 -- Sennheiser HD-25 Aluminum or ...?
Great point. Everyday listening will be unamped for now, dj listening will be driven by a USB audio interface (Traktor Kontrol S2 Mk2) but for $100 this seems like a silly comparison. Might as well try the amperiors and if they're good enough for dj-ing then get something else like the HD598...- yuletide

Headphones for DJ-ing and everyday listening @ $300 -- Sennheiser HD-25 Aluminum or ...?
Re: the m100, that's why I was so surprised when I tried them and was not impressed by the bass. Something about the bump on the upper bass notes maybe that drowns out the lower notes? I thought about giving the HD-7 or HD-8 DJ's a shot since they look comfier than the HD-25's with M100-like...- yuletide

Headphones for DJ-ing and everyday listening @ $300 -- Sennheiser HD-25 Aluminum or ...?
Hey folks, I've been on an epic journey of reading reviews, almost buying several pairs of phones, trying every audio store in SF to listen to new models with little luck, and I think I just need to pull the trigger. I listen mainly to bassy EDM including electro house, dubstep, trap (for...- yuletide

Versatile MS-1 Alternative for Metal, with less leakage?
So MS-1's, or what? Are they alright off an ipod or should I get the SR-60's ? I'm worried about insufficient bass response... (or i could just finish building my CMOY :-p)- yuletide

Versatile MS-1 Alternative for Metal, with less leakage?
Thx for the link, sound like great cans, but I fear they are all too big for my needs... since I'm going to be lugging them around everywhere. Maybe an unrealistic set of demands? but the portas seem to be the low-end satisfier. For higher end stuff the obvious answer for sound quality +...- yuletide

Versatile MS-1 Alternative for Metal, with less leakage?
Hey, I was on here last year searching for a solution to my headphonecrisis and came away with marshmallows and a pair of ksc75s, which were recently snagged during an office break-in. Luckily, my boss is quite willing to upgrade my headphones, and so I'm back in the market... Not sure...- yuletide

Metalheads unite! and recommend me something
I second the vote for Decapitated... I'm more into the technical death, but its pretty brutal too. Necrophagist. Necrophagia? Vehemence (melodic but still brutal). THE FACELESS!!!!! Aborted are great too. Blood Red Throne, BLOODBATH!!!!!, Miseration, Quo Vadis, Grave, Arsis... -

As you're looking at the SE310's, this review suggests you should look at the Ultimate Ears Super.fi Pro. Here's a bit from the review: Quote: I did extensive back to back testing with the SE310s and the Ultimate Ears, and there’s no doubt that the latter offers a more powerful sound with...- yuletide

Alright, so Alessandro MS-1's... (even in the library?) SF.5's... Ety 4p's... the d-jays sound interesting but nobody knows anything about them.
