Use oratory1990 via maybe PowerAmp Eq. Band EQ won't be able to fix the sound to that level.

    Introducing MOMENTUM 4 Wireless

It was broken already in the previous one. The ANC is inexistent nowadays, you go out or commute and hear EVERYTHING. And I used them mostly for metal music. Good luck with other genres

Well two firmwares ago at least it worked

I was out of mine but claimed warranty: The product doesn't work. After explaining the situation and checking nor my unit or the demo unit worked, the owner processed muy return and said they'd check with Sennheiser to return all the units they had left

Did you buy in store? If you paid by card you should be able to get a receipt. Otherwise, try to talk to the store, explain you don't have a receipt and try to go by Sennheisers warranty. The ANC is inexistent, you should be able to just return them claiming they don't work. I had no problems at...

You can do what I did. Return them. I didn't care to get them again but guess if you buy them again they'll come with the original firmware. I was too pissed off to try to do a reverse lookup and force an old firmware but might be possible too.

Yeah they touched that already in the previous firmware. Totally destroys the ANC at any levels. So the M4s are good sounding wireless cans with no noise reduction. Edit: Good sounding after EQing via parametric EQ of course

So far I think there's only one hardware version being sold. 4.0. It doesn't matter if you bought it on launch day or last week. I don't think the headphones sold any good for them making new batches. About people buying them already with the latest firmware, that's something normal in most...

"Thanks for your request. A downgrade is not possible, but there will be a big update coming in +/- one week which will solve a lot of problems and also have new features." they told me on March 10th 🤠

Did you try them with the latest firmware? And is the new firmware out, or September 2022 is still the latest?

    It's April 31st. 100% confirmed.

    Introducing MOMENTUM 4 Wireless

Hey guys, good news :D I mailed Sennheiser again asking what did they mean with +/- a week and got a new answer! According to the development department the update will be "coming soon"...

    Momentum 4 ANC problem/Warranty help

@Sennheiser when are we getting the new firmware version? AFAIK everyone's ANC is broken since last firmware (that came out in September!). I was told in January then a month ago I was told "in more ore less a week", which was totally not true. I thought about giving it a chance but since its...

    Introducing MOMENTUM 4 Wireless

Two weeks later, still no sign of the update... About dog barks and keyboard clicks, I can assure you both the M4s with original firmware and any of the latest Sony generations were highly effective. Nowadays ANC cans don't just remove low frequency sounds but most frequencies.

Even if they restore how good was it before the latest firmwares, you'll be blown away in comparison. Fingers crossed indeed!

    Introducing MOMENTUM 4 Wireless

With the old firm the ANC was still miles behind almost any other ANC headphones in the market, but with the newest firmware it's like there's almost no ANC at all. Plus trying to adjust it makes things worse. Of the 32 pages here almost half of them must be about it. Plus it's confirmed by...

    Introducing MOMENTUM 4 Wireless

"If you have a defective unit just send it back" "I'm sure the issues will be fixed" These issues affect every unit. I'm not sure if those claiming otherwise never got to try the slightly better old firmwares or are just deaf, but hope Sennheiser fixes indeed the mess. Latest from them...

    Introducing MOMENTUM 4 Wireless

I bought those as soon as they got released, and the latest issues described not only here but everywhere (check Reddit) are clearly an issue with the latest firmware. Maybe if you run those in your train commutes in the silent car they'll work for you, but since the latest update you can hear...

    Introducing MOMENTUM 4 Wireless

@ericpalonen are there any firmware beta testing programs we can enroll in, since no official firm is getting released? Alternatively, any ways to roll back to the previous firm version? Seriously thinking on returning the M4s. Yeah they sound great, but I have other non-ANC Sennys that sound...

    Introducing MOMENTUM 4 Wireless

Saw it, but no. In my case it makes no difference... I usually use full ANC + no adaptive. With the latest firmware there's not much difference between having them completely off (passive noise cancellation with the pads) and on at full ANC. Shame...

    Introducing MOMENTUM 4 Wireless

Who's saying is great? There's not much to elaborate on the ANC itself: It's just not good, even in max you still get a lot of noise in. Can't imagine living in a noisier city. Then there's the anti wind, if you set it to max the noise cancellation gets even worse. On the latest firmware the...

High End Sound Tuning is not needed... you can always use this in any Android device or in any computer. Yeah, not something at the hand of the people happy to hit a single button, but Sennheiser tuning the cans wont get any better than this. What's needed, and what most have been complaining...
