Ok. Good news was I was able to get the mic to work through the Mobius. Had to mess with the MUTE switch some and got it work. It now works and gets muted fine. Bad news is yes there is static when the volume gets turned up some.

Agreed. The Mobius can produce lower, more spacious, bass and I love it. Tight, accurate, and low distortion.

I like dynamic drivers for the same reason. Because the drivers move, it causes the headphones to rumble and shake. You can feel the sound. They create what is known as SPL (sound pressure level) too. It can feel intense with some good music.

AFAIK, USB is digital, so it doesn't what grade copper you get. The digital signal reaches the Mobius all the same. It's then up to the Mobius to do it's fancy stuff. If you were using analog 3.5mm, then it may make a difference, MAY. Personally I used pure silver for my LCD-XC.

I've tested this out. 3d just enables headtracking. 7.1 still works like normal without 3d. I like 3d off at all times unless playing 3d games.

To me it is more forward. When in 2channel or HiRez, the music is close and in your face inside your head, but yet spacious. Enabling 7.1 makes sound even more spacious like a large concert venue. I don't enable 7.1 unless watching movies or intense 3d gaming.
