I know this has been covered in ad nausium before but still I would appreciate your input. I currently have an HD 600 running off a Valhalla 2. I just joint the new drop that started 6/26 for the HD6xx. How do enjoy owning both and is it just redundant. Thanks, Kevin

Optical cables are all you need and you are good to go.

This has probably been discussed before but I have a question. I am considering getting socket savers for my Valhalla 2. How do you go about extracting the socket saver from the amp if you have an issue with them? It is hard enough getting tubes out when need be.

Are these the same tubes I see going for about $25 each? You find them to be in the same league as the Telefunken! How do the differ from the stock tubes? I may have to pick up a pair.

I also had a D1 but I was running it into a Headroom micro dac in front of my HD600's. The Valhalla 2 was a huge improvement IMHO. Can't wait to hear what you think! Enjoy!!!

Why don't you contact Sennheiser customer service and inquire about cost for repairing them?

I am asking this out of ignorance so please be patient. With all this talk about cleaning up the USB signal wouldn't it be easier to put a sound card with optical out in the computer. Or does this alter the sound via the sound card. Is USB a better signal to start with? Again, I would asking...

I also had the Modi but mine was the uber model. Trust me you will be quite happy with the 4490. The Bifrost is much more musical and refined. IMO.

The HD 650 is a high impedance headphone and will also benefit from an OTL amp.

Sorry, I am just learning how to quote on this site. I now have the same setup minus the NOS tubes. Which NOS tubes are you using and how do they differ from the stock tubes. I am really enjoying as is but of course there is always room for improvement!
