I like Beyondcompare on Mac. Used to use it with my first generation FiiO, and have use for it again doing this same thing with the KANN.

When the issue first appeared, I did a restore to default settings in case I accidentally changed something in there, and it re-scanned the library from there.

Oh, if you already erased it with the KANN you should be good to go then. You can't choose the formatting option on the KANN.
