I'd put in a vote for the Shure SRH lineup. Comfy pads, but I'm not sure how you are with coiled cable. It's terminated with a 1/8" connector and does come with a 1/4" adapter.

I'm sort of similar to your setup, in that I have a pair of HD650s and play them out of my MBP. I use the optical out into a Headroom Mirco DAC and it's quite good! I'm not too knowledgeable with matching DACs to the Raptor or HR-2, but I do have the DAC feed into a Hornet and I am quite happy...

Even though the Hornet isn't on the list, I'm using it to pair with my HD650s and they are a great match. I definitely do enjoy the sounds that come out of this portable amp. I've also used it with IEMs & Grados and they all play well with each other.
