headphone jack as preamps out
Hi I have a custom built tube integrated amp(15wpc, four 6L6 power tubes, two 12AX7 pre tubes) which has a headphone jack. I want to use it as a preamp with a more powerful amp to drive my new speakers. Unfortunatly I did not ask there to be added preouts. Can I use the headphone jack, with an...- Pete Whitley

HI, I'm a new headphone fan! A while back I ordered a tube amp from Ideal Innovations. It was a custom order with a sub out, two inputs, and a headphone jack. I've never been a headphone guy but my wife and I just had a baby so I said what the heck..add the headphone jack. I bought a pair of...- Pete Whitley

Specialized, or custom headphone amplifier
Hi, I bought a Custom 30 amp from Ideal Innovations. It's being built as we speak. It is based on the Classic 30 but I had them install a headphone input, source selctor switch(2) on the front and a headphone/speaker toggle on the rear. Also aluminum knobs on the front, two inputs on the...- Pete Whitley

Quick review: Sharp SD-SH111 integrated digital amp/cd/dvd/tuner
I've been listening to the SD-SH111 and I must say that I'm very pleased. It doesn't play extremely loud but it plays plenty loud for me in my listening room. You can make it play a good bit louder when programing the front two speakers from the preprogramed 0 to +10. I guess they mean decibles...- Pete Whitley

Sharp SACD player on ebay!
I took the plung and ordered the SH111 also. I looks like a great deal for $150. It has 5.6 Mhz sampling rate as compared to the 2.8 for the other one we've been talking about. I don't know if it will sound better though. It does have a headphone jack. The 2003 CES report had it priced at...- Pete Whitley

Sharp SACD player on ebay!
I know this is headfi and not audioasylum but I came across another Sharp product that looks good. At the 2003 CES They gave a price of $1700. I wonder how it sounds? For $150 over the net it might be a great deal. Pete http://www.loftynotion.com/Item.asp?...arp%20SD-SH111- Pete Whitley

Sharp SACD player on ebay!
Hi, That was me that beat you out for the amp. I figure that any amp that once sold for $4500 and is going for $300 is worth buying. I was wondering how high I would have to go however. I started to get very concerned at $305. (<: Pete- Pete Whitley

What is your home stereo system?
Hi, I have been visiting this forum for about two weeks now and I am amazed at the interest in headphones. I have never heard quality headphones but have spent thousand on home stereo upgrades.
