Aune M2 | AK4490 Dac | Class A amp | Dual Crystek USA Clocks |
All, I'm in need of a new DAP to replace my Teac HA-P90SD which I love the SQ but HATE!!! the UI, just terrible and Teac has done nothing to improve it. I need a player which can play WMA file because a big part of my library is in this format. Did any of the M2 firmware add WMA format...- fraza44

TEAC HA-P90SD (To be released in Dec, 2014)
We actually need a P90 owner who can read and understand the Japanese Teac web site and provide use with the correct email address to send our wishes/desires of a Folder View and other improvements to in hopes of getting around Teac America. Just maybe they would listen but we will never know...- fraza44

TEAC HA-P90SD (To be released in Dec, 2014)
Unfortunately "No New Firmware" I called Brian over at Teac Support Operations about two weeks ago and he couldn't tell me anything concerning whether or not the Teac Japan engineers were even working on a "Folder View" firmware update. He told me to just keep check the download section to see...- fraza44

Pioneer's first DAP, the XDP-100R announced in IFA
@Signal2Noise, nothing to see here folks, I simply stated my impression of the XDP-100 I purchased from NewEgg. In comparison to my Teac HA-P90SD, the XDP-100 sounded to digital and cold. If you are enjoying the sound coming from your player Signal2Noise, then it means YOU enjoy the sound...- fraza44

Pioneer's first DAP, the XDP-100R announced in IFA
Well my Pioneer came in a few days ago and I let it burn in for a little bit but I could not live with the sound of this DAP. For lack of better words, the DAP was to cold in it's presentation of the music and just sounded to digital. I compared the XDP-100R to my Teac HA-P90SD using my LZ A4...- fraza44

Pioneer's first DAP, the XDP-100R announced in IFA
Low volume is a shame for such a notable company, did you have the latest firmware which remove the EU volume limiter, that assuming your somewhere in the EU. You would think the major brands could get it right out the gate but this Teac's UI has shown me there is a lack of quality control...- fraza44

Pioneer's first DAP, the XDP-100R announced in IFA
@larzy, I haven't received my Pioneer XDP-100R yet but can you give me your SQ impressions of the XDP-100R vs the Onkyo HA300. Does the HA300 have a wider sound stage and more depth or is it pretty close to the HA300 in sound quality. My Teac P90 has a similair to the HA300. I...- fraza44

Pioneer's first DAP, the XDP-100R announced in IFA
Can any of you XDP-100R owners recommend a armband style case for use in the gym that would work with this XDP-100R. I've searched the internet and can't seem to find any case for the XDP-100 so now I'm wondering if any of the Iphone or Samsung Galaxy Armband like this one will work. ...- fraza44

Pioneer's first DAP, the XDP-100R announced in IFA
You may want to start a burn in process because my Teac really opened up with plenty (150) hours of burn in. Now the HA300 or Teac P90SD are not in the same league when it comes to the feature set of the Pioneer XDP-100R but if you read some of the information on the Onkyo HA300 and Teac P90SD...- fraza44

Pioneer's first DAP, the XDP-100R announced in IFA
Larzy, below is a comparison between the P90SD and the HA300 done by Trance over in the Teac HA-P90SD Owners thread, Trance owns both players. Also one thing to note about the two companies, is that Teac has released about 5 firmware upgrade for the P90SE and Onkyo has released ZERO. ...- fraza44

Pioneer's first DAP, the XDP-100R announced in IFA
Even though I love the sound of my Teac HA-P90SD I couldn't resist the $299.00 NewEgg sale on the XDP so today I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the purchase of the XDP-100R. I had also been looking at the Cayin I5 which you can pickup in the classified for $300+. If I don't like the...- fraza44

TEAC HA-P90SD (To be released in Dec, 2014)
Bri G, it's good to know that the Teac has a following in the PI. I've started an effort to try and get "Folder View" added to the P90. Could you and your group take a look at the below post and see if you would like to send Brian at Teac Operation Support an email in support of getting...- fraza44

TEAC HA-P90SD (To be released in Dec, 2014)
@Anarkia333 Well on a positive side for the P90, it sounds like it's pretty close in sound quality to the XDP which makes me happy considering the price I paid for mine. Do you know how many hours you have on your P90 because at first I also thought all the sound was in my head using my...- fraza44

@Anarkia333 Yes, you are correct, there hasn't been a new firmware update as of yet but I will continue to stay in touch with Brian at Operation Support until they make a decision one way or another about the "Folder View" but all those interest in seeing a "Folder View" should...- fraza44

@Anarkia333, I can't wait to read your impression of the Teac P90 and the Pioneer. I'm holding off on the purchase of the Pioneer until you've had a chance to post your findings. I can live with the Teac buggy UI if it has the same SQ as the Pioneer. Thank you Andre- fraza44

Pioneer's first DAP, the XDP-100R announced in IFA
I notice you have what looks like the Red Teac HA-P90SD in the above pic. I've had my P90 for about 3 weeks now and I love the sound but the UI is so buggy and the sound stage so narrow (All in my head) that I'm thinking about snagging the XDP-100R from Newegg for $299 which is an outstanding...- fraza44

LZ-A4 Impressions and Discussion Thread
Before getting the Teac HA-P90SD, I tried the Fiio X3 II but the biggest problem was the font size, I just couldn't read the small font and even with a different firmware which was suppose to have a larger font, I still could not see it and wearing reading glass in the gym just want do. No didn't pay no where near $400, I picked it up from Best Buys online for $296 and I'm pass the 14 Day return so I'll just have to keep this one because it really does have a good sound. I'm thinking of trying some of the more affordable earbuds just to get an idea of what they can do. I...- fraza44

Thanks to all of you for your feedback on my request for recommending IEMs for a wider sound stage. I'll give the earbud a try because they are cheaper and see how that sounds. I don't want to replace my Teac because I just got it less then three weeks ago. Andre- fraza44

HELP!!!!!......HELP!!!!!.....PLEASE! I can't take the music in my head any more. I'm looking for a recommendation on a IEM with a wide sound stage and depth. I have my LZ A4 paired with a Teac HA-P90SD Dap and this particular Dap has a short sound stage which mean all the music is in my...- fraza44

Thanks for the feed back, you just saved me allot of money on a "Just Curious" situation. I was already looking at some AK120s on the classified. Molins, Mine gets a little warm but nothing like what your describing. When I play all night and day, I prop it up so that it's not lying on it's back. I think this may help with keeping it cool. Do you have any experience with other high end player and how the Teac compares to...- fraza44
