Got the S8 and S9 (European version) and the 3.5 mm jack sounds noticeable better on the S9 than the S8. I don't know why though.

I want to solder a cable to a 3.5 mm Viablue plug and have 4 wires. The wires were origianlly soldered to a 2.5 mm balanced plug. It's for a IEM that have 2 pin connectors. Where do I solder the wires to and does it matter which one goes to which part of the plug? Here a picture

Currently I use the exo series silver plated copper from Plussound with a 2.5mm balanced plug. I'd like to use it on a 3.5 mm output aswell. Would an adapter reduce the soundquality of the cable and which adapter would be good for my needs?
