New model Cowon - Plenue D2
Ok so this is my second D2 as the first one went a bit “do dally”, so sent it back. Anyway, the new player is working like a charm. I’m still blown away by how good it sounds, listening to “Bob Sega – Still the Same” is like he is playing in the same room, it’s really that good. The player...- Signo

Experiences - Cowon R, AK SE15 or Ibasso 150
So, searching for a new dap where sound is most important over streaming, Bluetooth etc. Now recently I got a Cowon D2 and loved the sound but it looked silly in my hands (small shovels); never the less I had to return it because it locked up (software issue I think). So back to the drawing...- Signo

Cowon Plenue R - All Round Player
So I had the D2 for about 2 weeks was blown away by the sound; that was until it locked up and would not turn on (software issue I think) so have to send it back. Now do I get a Plenue R or do I look at a HiBy or Fiio M9……open to your experiences.- Signo

New model Cowon - Plenue D2
Ok so I have had my D2 for 2 weeks now - sound is amazing, battery life is unreal. However the UI is slow, it's small and the firmware is buggy to the point I cannot turn the unit on now. Tried all the "trouble shooting" items, but no luck, D2 dead in the water. The D2 is a very good bit of...- Signo

New model Cowon - Plenue D2
Hi Ray, my 535's are about 4yrs old and when I got them they came with the standard 3.5mm. However having said that new models might come with 2.5mm so you could be right...- Signo

New model Cowon - Plenue D2
Quick update - the sound quality with the right EQ settings is nothing but amazing. However I connected it to my Fiio A3 Amp using the 3.5mm as line out and it sounds even better. I know I’m kind of double amping but to be fair the music quality is excellent, no hissing or distortion, just...- Signo

New model Cowon - Plenue D2
Ok so my PD2 arrive on Friday and on opening the box I was stuck how small it was, think of a packet of Camels without filters and you have the size. I put in my music connected my Shure 535’s and too my horror it sounded dreadful, coming from the Fiio X7. I was blown away by how bad it...- Signo

LG V30
I have an old Huawei P7 and was thinking, do I get a V30 or should I just get a Fiio M9. I would like to have just one device, but I’m more concerned about the sound. So if “push came to shove” I would still carry too. So the real question is how good is the V30, what is close too..- Signo

Chord Mojo issue solutions thread.
Mojo is a great product.....when it works. I'm on my 2nd Mojo which has just failed (only just out of warranty) and when I called Chord they told me they wanted another £200 to fix it. The worst thing is, I'm English and live in Kent where Mojo is made and I was kind of proud to tell people...- Signo

Fun Sound with good instrument separation (IEM)
You could have a look at the RHA T20, I don't have them but the reviews seem to be good. I do have the RHA MA 750 and they are good...- Signo

recommendations for Headphones, max 100 euro
Let me throw down a wild card option, IEM…. But I got my girl some RHA MA 750 a few weeks ago and I have to say they are surprisingly good for £80. I tried them on my Fiio X5 with E12A and they have lots of detail, with a crisp clean sound and the bass is on the mark, not too forward or...- Signo

Pioneer U-05 or Mojo
Hi Team, Need some expert guidance, as I am no expert by a long way. I work all day at my desk (8-14hrs) using HD 600 or Philips X2 and playing music from my Mac. I’m after a really good DAC/headphone Amp as I plan to get HD 800 later this year, but not sure which to pick. ...- Signo

Should I get a new DAC or get a new IEM?
I would go for the Westone Pro 30 as they have lots of good reviews and new set of IEM or headphones really do make a big difference. Then save your cash for the Centrance. Note:- I was in your same boat about 6 months ago and I got the Shure 535 first then Fiio E12A. The combo is very...- Signo
