I have the UE900 but I don't feel like its a big upgrade to my KC06A, probably 10-20% improvement overall , but the sub bass is missing though, the KC06A's bass is 'just enough ' for me ,but after switching to the UE900 , I must say that these don't sound like $300 IEMs compared to the $70 KC06A. So now I want something that has good instrument separation and bass , giving it a nice fun sound , preferably below $300

You could have a look at the RHA T20, I don't have them but the reviews seem to be good.  I do have the RHA MA 750 and they are good...
