After some time to listen and compare back and forth with all the other gear here, I am very impressed with the sonics of the ZOTL2.0.  Did a little tube swapping on the 6SN7 variants...not a lot as I don't have the complete collection of every 6SN7 ever made like I used to in the past.... but...

  that's really great advice, albeit not always possible for all customers.  I would expand upon it to say hear all the options including different amps/dacs/cables in addition to all the headphones so you can truly hear what is going on with the sound and what is responsible for the sound you...

Woohoo!!... Aries Mini units (and ability to buy the Aries linear power supply separate from the full blown Aries) are now in dealer hands here in USA!  (my units arrived at ~10PM last night... shipping out all our pre-orders this morning).... so get up with your dealer to get a demo and see it...

RCA black plate.... early 50's is a personal favorite... very inexpensive relatively speaking... cheap enough that you can scoop up a bunch on fleabay and not worry about getting a dud or two, or a couple noisy ones... nice warmth yet still very clear... "fatter" sound, but good extension in...

brief thoughts in stream of consciousness:   tolerances are much tighter...  fit and finish very good....     I normally prefer absolute stealth and plain look...  but i really like the 'ENIGMAcoustics' embossed into the leather on the top of the headband... and I also like the toned down...

you are correct in that these are the same headphone production sample units that were in Chicago... I tried for a little bit today to try to replicate the "glitch"... maybe I'm hearing it and calling it something else... maybe I'm missing it entirely... I don't have the same music samples to do...

  I got some technical specs from ENIGMAcoustics a bit ago on the ear cup measurements as I had the same questions for myself until I could see them in the flesh... now that I have, I know they are just fine for my purposes and fit around my big dumbo ears and fit my supersized melon just...

it's got all kinds of bass.. that's not an issue... it's just that in comparison to the insane clarity of the super tweeter, the bass is a bit fuzzier sounding... not bloated or boomy and completely without control and detail...it's very good...in fact, there were a couple tracks I played...

  Not yet....  I've run some sweeps and listened to different stuff specifically to hear how the drivers transition between each other.... I was curious with disparate driver tech if they would blend it together as well as they do with their Mythology M1 speakers...  it's quite good...
