    GS1000 cable replacement

Well, I was living with a Rotweiller puppy who decided to chew up the cable on my GS1000's. He only chewed it in two so I need a new cable. Anyway, is there somebody out there who will replace the cable. Grado wants $150 or so and I am curious about other options. Thanks for any opinions. And...

Which wireless IEMs to go for?

I like Cambridge Melomania. Good sound, great battery life, stupid looking.

The stock cables are worse than useless. Takes 5 mins of screwing around to them the untangled. Haven't listened to them enough because of that.

Recommendation for True Wireless Earphone (Cambridge Audio Melomania 1, Klipsch T5 True Wireless?)

I have those. They are really good but they do get funky. I just live with it, I guess.

Recommendation for True Wireless Earphone (Cambridge Audio Melomania 1, Klipsch T5 True Wireless?)

One of mine wound up on the floor and got Rottweillered. Ordered a new pair for $50. Few days later they showed up. That is what I would call a liberal replacement policy. Charging case goes bad? $50. So they look a little funky, I find them excellent. No USB-C though. Annoying.

Shanling MTW100 - True Wireless IEMs, IPX7, BT5.0 Balanced armature or Dynamic driver

Don't know if you figured it out yet but mine had dinky plastic protective strips on the contacts. My old and blind eyes didn't see them. So, take those off and you should charge. Little bastards are impossible to see.

Shanling MTW100 - True Wireless IEMs, IPX7, BT5.0 Balanced armature or Dynamic driver

I did the same thing. I was aggravated so I bought another pair on amazon. Found those wouldn't charge either. Sent them back, now with an attitude. Upon careful observation, I found the offending plastic. They are pretty good to really good.

[FiiO M6] Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future

Just got a M6 today. It is replacing a M0. The M0 was just too small for my fat fingers to navigate the UI. I just used it like a big iPod Shuffle. Anyway, when I saw the Android Transfer software (I use a Mac) I just about packaged it up and sent it back. Several years ago I bought an Astell...

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

I play Grado SR80's through mine and it sounds great. Tames the high freq's some. Little to no tizz. Sounds dull with warmer phones. I don't mess with the different settings. The all sounded like hell so I never bother with it. Due to the small screen size, navigation is a PITA but I paid $110...

I transmitted to a RIVA Bluetooth speaker, they paired and it worked fine. Unless you were talking about something else.

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

What I have done is export iTunes playlists, edit the metadata album name to “xxxplaylist”, and copy to the M0. I don’t generally use iTunes much but this does work. These are iTunes resolution but it sounds pretty good. I wear open backed headphones anyway. The M0 and SR80’s have an amazing...

Tried Roon and couldn’t get it set up right. I’ve used Audirvana for years.

    Schiit Gungnir DAC

I have a bunch of iTunes downloads in my library. The Gumby works great with those. I suspect the combo burrito filter has a lot to do with that. So, buy the Gungnir, listen to your AAC’s, and get rippin.

    Grado e Series

I find the stock pads to be fine. Hand washed them with dish soap. No head clamp and are cool on the head. I have no idea why people say they are uncomfortable. You want uncomfortable? Sen HD600’s.
