Well, I was living with a Rotweiller puppy who decided to chew up the cable on my GS1000's. He only chewed it in two so I need a new cable. Anyway, is there somebody out there who will replace the cable. Grado wants $150 or so and I am curious about other options. Thanks for any opinions. And no, I didn't beat or yell at the dog. Now when I go see him he just chews on my arm.

How far up/down the cable is the damage? You could easily trim the cables an inch or so below your earcups and solder on female mini-XLR or MMCX jacks which would allow you to use your after-market cable of choice.
