Amp for DT990 250ohm
If you're on a budget, I find that the signature of the 990 250ohm really runs well of hi-fi/stereo speaker amps, these are available second hand and modern day ones can connect to your computer via an optical cable it really compliments the low reaching bass at the same time slightly...- squareznboxez

Looking for a headphone to pair with iBasso DX90 - driving problematic on Beyerdynamic DT 990 or AKG Q701/K701
I have the DT990 250ohm and auditioned both the Fiio X5 and the DX90 The DX90 runs the 990s on high gain (there are zero / mid / hi settings) to a satisfactory level - that said I needed to have the volume up at the 240~ range (max is 256) The DX90 (Sabre dac) from all the reviews has a...- squareznboxez

Beyerdynamic DT880 Pro & DT990 Pro (Comparison w/ pictures!)
Thanks for taking the time to review these 2 models! I recently purchased the 990pro 250ohm, and am waiting on delivery of a 2nd hand 880pro 250ohm, so I am very glad to hear there is someone else appreciating the differences between the two, and that i'm not crazy seeing value in owning both...- squareznboxez

Audio Technica ATH-FC700 - foldable...with soundstage!
The FC range are a great under-rated cans, i bought a pair of FC707s while i was overseas, and i actually prefer these to the M50s, they have a very similar signature to the Shure in-ear 215 and 535s which both cost more than the FCs - they don't have the lingering bass re-verb that sometimes...- squareznboxez

Best $300 Headphones
the AD900X are a good alternative to the HD600s, similar signatures (sparkling vocals and highs, solid mids and recessed sub-bass) Personal preference obviously but i think the 900Xs place nicer on the head, as well as the slightly more airy signature making it suitable for acoustic...- squareznboxez

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
Awesome, thanks for chiming in, regarding mid-bass and warmth I've recently moved on a set of Audio Technica AD-1000x as a result of listening to my friends 880 600ohms, i preferred the more neutral signature over the AD-1000x's more warm and pronounced soundtrack Appreciate the feedback for...- squareznboxez

Trying to decide if I should get a dedicated receiver or a headphone amp.
Definitely a dedicated headphone amp, if it is for headphone use only - i have a Harman/Kardon AVR and an Aune T1, and the difference is night and day in my opinion -- squareznboxez

Full size headphones for movie watching
DT880s are a good candidate, as they provide evidence of sub bass where many headphones in my opinion don't get so low - combined with a great stage they would be my pick - they are also a step above in terms of lightness and comfort- squareznboxez

HD800 vs LCD-X vs HE-6 vs SR-007 for critical listening and monitoring purposes?
In my opinion for critical listening, the orthodynamic cans will have a distinct signature which can hinder the monitoring process out of the ones u listed, the HD800s would be my pick as they the most neutral out of the bunch- squareznboxez

Best headphones for Trance, dubstep, house, electronic, rap, hip hop and rock. Please suggest and help me I'm so confused and a newbie
I'm a big fan of the Beyerdynamics DT8800s for a broad selection of music, as an all in one it combines decent sub bass, with an airy sound stage, with sweet vocals - when amped properly the 600ohm version really is in a league of its own- squareznboxez

Audio Technica ATH-M40x: The Little Brother that Could
The sub $100 Audio Technicas shine for value more than the higher end stuff in my opinion, I have a set of FC707 portables, and i really prefer them to the M50s in comfort and sound quality for everyday listening- squareznboxez

Pairing HE-500 with O2+ODAC
Thanks for the review, a mate of mine has the 500s paired with a Firestone Spitfire and Beyond HD combo, the first thing i noticed is how heavy they are? New to Full size headphones and need helpful advice on choosing a new headphone! Please help!!!
You should always buy when the time is right for you, within that month, you may read up a bit more and actually decide on a different set On the flip side, the chances of a faulty M50 would in my opinion miniscule and if you are set on them and can save a bit of cash through the tax, go for...- squareznboxez

Debating between a Gaming Monitor or Astro Mixamp
A friend of mine has both a AOC 144hz 1ms gaming monitor and the Astro A40 Mix amp combo My conclusion is; If you want to perform better at your games - get the Monitor, the response is noticeably quicker at the expense of an aesthetic display (TN panel vs IPS) If you want to enjoy...- squareznboxez
