  Yes, what I meant was that I would've expected a secondhand unit to be sold at a substantial discount relative to the price of a new unit, not at about the same price.

  If you have a pretty good amp, definitely worth picking up. I use mine with a Schiit Vali 2 and it sounds great. I even prefer it to my Fostex T50rp MK3 sometimes, depending on what I'm listening to.

  Those earpads are sort of expensive, would you say they're worth it? Just a bit leery about earpads after trying the Brainwavz hybrid pads on mine.

  You were right about the pads being a drawback, they made the headphones become uncomfortably bright-sounding. So I went back to the stock pads and it sounds much better now. I guess I'll use the hybrid pads on my ATH-M50X instead and see how that goes.
