I've had the Atom HE for a month. It's an endgame amp for the Utopia I own, the synergy is a match made in heaven. Got good results with LCD-5 and Susvara as well (which I don't own), although the latter could benefit from a more powerful amp, still I thought it was more than decent with the HE...

I find the mini to be a better match with the Utopia due to this issue.

I’ve never owned a tube amp so I’m particularly keen on dipping my toes. Also had my eye on Woo WA33 but its size is probably impractical for my use.

Very interested to see how this matches with the Utopia. I’ve held off pulling the trigger on a Niimbus till this was released.

After a couple of months the sound suddenly stopped on the right and I feared it was a driver failure. Fortunately it was the cable but annoyingly it still took 5 weeks to be repaired.

$12000 I’m looking for an endgame amp so price isn’t a big factor.

Coincidentally I did have a look at them today but prefer to get an amp that I don’t need to ship from overseas. I also had Bakoon r13 on my list but same issue.

I did audition my Utopia with the WA5 last year but I didn’t find it as versatile with a wide range of music compared with some other amps from phonitor or GSX. Although it certainly was very beautiful with vocals and acoustic instruments. And I did have in mind getting the Susvara in the future...

It’s being sold off at such a bargain I’m considering just buying it without hearing it.

I love how detailed yet large scale the sound of the Utopia is with the H2 but sometimes feel a bit more warmth wouldn’t go astray. Adding the GSX mini did that but I would like to audition the Arche and WA33 as well.

Actually on the other hand as a SP2000/H2/Utopia owner I’m wondering what the Arche might add to my set up for amplification duties or as a desktop replacement for my H2.

I recently acquired the AK SP2000 and it's no match for my iPhone + Hugo 2. Sounds flat and lifeless compared to the bigger soundstage, superior details and greater dynamic range of the Hugo 2 with my Utopias.

I own the Hugo 2 but have done comparisons with the SP2000 on my Utopias. I like both but to my ears don’t find them very similar. The SP2000 had a much warmer seductive sound. The Hugo 2 more revealing, cleaner edges but with a colder balance.

Thought that might be the case. Since I got the Utopias I haven’t been using my IEMs much which would have been a good pairing for the SP2000.

I’ve been using my iPhone (onkyo high res player) and MacBook Pro (audivana) to play my flac files through my Hugo 2. Thinking about getting an AK SP2000 to use as a source. Has anyone noticed whether this would make a discernible difference? Or overkill since it all goes through the Hugo2 anyway?

I use mine with iPhone onkyo player and it does the same thing. I presume the app upsamples.

We must have similar tastes. Didn’t get the lcd-x quite on day one but close. I didn’t think the lcd-4 was worth the upgrade over my x either. And the utopia is quite different so a good foil for the audeze sound.

I actually auditioned them on an SPL Phonitor. But I’ve got the Hugo in mind as its compact size lends itself more to my somewhat nomadic lifestyle.
