anyone try analysis plus solo crystal rca with hugo ....its the older version with locking rca terminations?

If it uses the WBT locking RCA plugs, then you'll be fine. I have a set of kimber hero with the WBT locking plug. No issues.

Intrigued by some of this conversation above as I came to this thread today to start researching the 2go - it sounds like a nightmare though, which is disappointing.

At home I normally just use my desktop setup (RME/V281 - Utopia/Empyrean or RME/WA2 - HD800S) and at work I use the Hugo 2 with my Stellia, which is effectively a second desktop setup for the office. Both of these desktop setups run straight off my Macbook Pro. I've got an AK380+AMP which I tend to use with my HD6XX which i've been considering upgrading to an SP2000 for ultra portable listening, but before doing that I was thinking the 2go might fit the bill for transportable solutions either around the house, on the deck or when we're back travelling again for work (hotels, etc).

I've considered connecting my phone via a lightning to micro usb to the Hugo 2 (assuming I can do this with a single cable?), but I once had a HipDAC working that way with my iPhone and I disliked having my phone connected physically to the Hugo 2, or a second device in general hanging off the Hugo 2. It's the reason I haven't paired the AK380 with the Hugo 2, which I believe used to be a common solution some found. Ideally there is a wireless solution out there, otherwise it might just make more sense to upgrade the AK380 to the SP2000 and keep the Hugo 2 strictly for my office setup.

Keen to hear from anyone who has an opinion or experienced something similar.

As for me I decided to go for SP2000.
As I could tried to listen briefly in a shop... it sounds very similar to Hugo 2.
Not SP1000, as SP1000 has thicker sound,
have not tried AK380.

We discussed here we have identical setups with RME ADI-2 Pro, Hugo 2 and Violectric 281
(I'm also using Beta22 produced with four boards setup scheme, and btw it's way better than Violectric).
Having the same thoughts I decided to buy SP2000 (receiving it today-tomorrow).

Will compare Hugo 2 over SP2000 face to face,
and maybe I'll left the Hugo some day,
maybe Hugo will stay with me "forever")))
But I'll see the difference very soon!

I have the SP1000/amp. and the H2/H2go and to my ears the SP1000 is not in the same league as the H2/H2go also the SP1000 can’t play Roon. But this is JMHO

As far as feedback I have come across is concerned, neither the sp1k or the sp2k are as good as the Hugo 2. The 2Go has been a game changer for me as I actually use the Hugo 2 all the time now. 2Go has been working pretty much flawlessly since I bought it shortly after it launched.

Thanks for info!
I've compared face to face SP1000 and SP2000 and to my ears SP2000 has much more weighty sound, much closer to H2.
I will compare closely soon SP2000 vs Hugo 2.

Keep in mind that the SP1000 with Amp. Comes very very Close to the sound of the SP2000. Well at lease that is what I was told. Please let us know your findings

Yes, but 2go doesn't add touchscreen.

For me H2+2Go vs SP2000:
1. Has much bulky dimensions
2. Must be controlled from your smartphone, so you need to arrange two boxes in your hands, arrange pairing, battery life, volume level etc.

In any way SP2000 imho has way better user experience,
it is all in one solution,
it fits your hand while having very close sound to Hugo 2.

Does added SQ deserves such UX difference -- will see..
I will answer here with my thoughts

I saw here at this forum a men who used SP2000 as a transport to Hugo 2
I asked him about SQ difference but unfortunately didn't get an answer..

I own the Hugo 2 but have done comparisons with the SP2000 on my Utopias. I like both but to my ears don’t find them very similar. The SP2000 had a much warmer seductive sound. The Hugo 2 more revealing, cleaner edges but with a colder balance.

SP1000 can't play Tidal offline so it doesn't fits my basic requirements.
I'm absolutely can't live without offline streaming abilities.

Manual music downloading and arrangement is just a critical waste of my lifetime
here is an ocean of music on this planet
downloading and arranging the ocean is just unresolvable task imho

I wouldn't use either device on the go. Too bulky.

I would much rather using my iPhone/iPad Pro to control playback via Roon than deplete the respective device's battery life.

I'm looking for SP2000 only for mobile sound solution
Don't see sp2k as good desktop option at all

Horses for courses, I suppose. I'd never use something as big on the go.
