Well it was clearly CS's fault, retailer checked it too and it was obvious. It was no grounding issue. Anyway the point is I gave my useful experience with the CS and I don't give a damn what you think.

I have Revolution 7.1 connected to external DAC via spdif and in foobar I simply enable Volume controller DSP, i never get to 0dB because i get a peak. So if i want it loud it's like -25dB gastan you need a monitor controller or something more expensive like this...

Look the "bad" distortion is simply meant to be in this track. It doesn't sound so wrong to my ears. You'll just have to face it. Its like you meet a fine woman and than you find out that she ain't perfect. You wouldn't give up on her would you.

Well in metal world any kind of distortion effect is pretty popular, so get used to it =) I don't like it either. The worst thing i heard was bass guitar with some distortion effect used by Kataklysm band

Im not an audiophile though i do hear huge difference between mp3, lossless and my CD player. If i like a CD i simply buy it and listen to it on my CDP because it sounds even better than playing back lossless via foobar.I use dynaudio studio monitors for playback. I think its a waste of space...

I have studio monitors and damn the difference is huge between mp3 and .ape (same as .wav). Sound is much fuller.
