USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android
I have a pair of Dali io6 headphones, which have a built in 24/96 DAC. When I connect them to my (Samsung S9) phone via an (Audioquest) OTG cable and play music from UAPP, I get an error and unfortunately no music playback. Is there anyone on this forum who has the same headphone and knows how...- Bartje K

Music Apps, Tips and Tricks for the LG V30, V35, V40, V50 & V60
I have a question about Neutron. Do you, besides using the settings mentioned in the OP, also turn on 64-bits processing and set resampling to audiophile?- Bartje K

I can root my European V30, but I'm not sure how (former Apple user). Can you point me out a tutorial or something? And which rom should I use if I want to maximize the audio experience with the V30?- Bartje K

LG V30
Very, very interesting. So this could mean for instance that with V30 one could now use the Tidal app and enjoy 16/44.1 music without upsampling. Is this then due to Oreo update or something? Can someone verify this?- Bartje K

LG V30
Next week I'll buy myself a V30 as an (audio) upgrade from a Google Pixel XL. But in advance I've already bought uapp and man that's a nice piece of software. I used to only use Neutron for Hires playback, but to my ears uapp sounds better. And with Tidal streaming possible (and as it seems...- Bartje K

IPhone SE impressions thread
He wrote iem driver. In other words in ear monitor driver/player. Emi noise is something else, that's electromagnetic interference. Anyone still happy with the iPhone SE? I'm dying to know if selling my iPhone 6 and buying an iPhone SE would be considered an upgrade in sound quality or at least...- Bartje K

IPhone SE impressions thread
Thanks for the initial impressions guys. I have an iPhone 6 and would like to know of the SE is an upgrade or at least the same quality soundwise. Can anyone please compare the audio quality for the iPhone SE to the iPhone 6 (not plus or the S models)?- Bartje K

iPhone 6 & 6 Plus Audio Quality
The funny thing is, on my European iPhone 6 64GB there's actually an option that states I can turn the EU-volumelimit off. Isn't that option enough to have the same volume level as a non-European iPhone, or am I missing something here?- Bartje K

iPhone 6 & 6 Plus Audio Quality
Thank you for the explanation. I get it. What I don't get is the fact that itunes bought music is 32 bit aac, while I thought it really was 16 bit aac. But that's a different question. :)- Bartje K

iPhone 6 & 6 Plus Audio Quality
I've been using neutron for a few days now on my iphone 6 64gb, using the settings as mentioned before in this thread. But I have a question. Does the 64 bit processing really occur? When I look at the info of the track playing, I see 32bit when I playback itunes AAC tracks, and 24 or 16 bit...- Bartje K

Koss Pro DJ 100 - The Budget King
@tdockweiler Actually, the Fiio X5 uses a Burr Brown TI PCM1792 DAC and works pretty well with the Koss DJ Pro 100. So far I have only got 5 hours of burn in on the DJ Pro 100 (and about 14 on the FiiO X5, but I´m not touching the DAP burn in debate), but I like what I hear. And it´s supposed...- Bartje K

As I'm waiting for these goods to be delivered sometime later this week, I found my pre-ordered FiiO X5 DAP in my mailbox. Now I'm very happy...- Bartje K

New Miles Davis Trumpet (not Tribute) earphones
True, I've owned the Tributes for about 2 years. And while the build quality was awful (they broke down twice), they sounded fuller, thicker, but also more boomy and had less clarity in the highs. So actually, I like the Trumpets more, even though I still have to properly burn these babies in...- Bartje K

New Miles Davis Trumpet (not Tribute) earphones
Finally, I got my replacement Trumpets for my broken down Tributes. First impressions are really weird. I like the sound, it's cleaner/more clear than the Tributes, but it does lack some sort of 'thickness' (for the lack of a better word) to the sound. The weirdest part though, is that I now...- Bartje K

Hi guys, The unthinkable happened, my Tributes broke down... The good thing is, I can get them replaced for free by Monster with the Trumpets. Yay! But, I have a question to you guys regarding the Trumpets. I noticed that they seem to be open backed headphones, at least that's what I see...- Bartje K
