Agreed. I've heard the 900 as well, and owned the 800 S too. The 800 S is in the middle between the 600 and the 900 - as their numbers say it too. The 900 is slightly better then the 800 S, especially in dynamics and bass response. I've had a need by the 800 S to EQ-ing in some things. Bass + 5...

Disagree. I mean you could decide between them, which one offers you the better music listening experience...

I think the Seni IE900 has got minimum the same sound quality, if not better, than the Focal Clear.

He moved out of his ears the earphones, because he thought I've turned on the desktop hi-fi, and what he was hearing that sounds from the big...

I'm using an AK Norma (SR15) with my IE 800S, and it sounds just amazing! I think it's a great combo.

Could somebody answer my question, that is the following: my Sennheiser IE 800 S with the AK Norma is sounding better with the 2.5 mm cable as with the 3.5 mm standard, or not?

I'm really surprised that Sennheiser has already announced a new flagship model of its high-end in-ear line. But- just because of usability - it was surely motivated and justified. The brand new IE900 has got an over the ear wearing, much better ear tips, better, fully interchangable cable, etc...

If you wanna a "better IE 800" really, than go for the IE 800 S!
