    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

My m100's were purchased in January of this year and the plastic on them is a joke. I have a crack in one ear cup that is beginning to spread and a crack in each of the rings that hold the earpads. I've been holding off on the warranty because I just didnt want to deal with it. If I send them...

iem most similar to m100 sound under $100

Over the past few Years I've been searching for the perfect sound signature for enjoying my music and I found it in the m100. The punchy bottom end and lively but not harsh top just do it for me. However when I'm out and about I find myself wanting an iem but don't want to leave the m100...

V-Moda M-100 headphone cable Please help!

If your handy and want to make a cable yourself these connectors fit easily into the vmoda headphones, use some redco TGS-1 wire and whatever termination you want and you'll have a cable that some companies would charge an arm and a leg for.

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

I figured I'd update the status of my m100's, these m100's are exactly 4 months old and although I love the sound and enjoy them very much IMO their quality just does not even come close to the $300 price tag and I'm glad I didn't pay full price for them.   The right earcup is now cracked in...

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

Im not sure how Red Jacket Mike was able to get a mediabridge cable to work in his v-moda headphones but I have one of those cables I purchased for something else and it definitely does NOT fit in my m100's. Also the mediabridge cable is heavily shielded, thick, heavy and not very flexible. It...

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

My m100's have been cracked since late February and they were purchased late January. It took exactly 31 days for them to develop a pretty size-able crack. I think the plastic that is used for the earcups is much too brittle although the hardness of the plastic may have an impact on the sound.

I think I might have blown/messed up my headphones

sounds like an issue with the files, if it's the exact same noise at the exact same time every time and changes with the volume of the device then it is definitely the files

Loudest and leakiest headphones on the market?

why not go for a super long life rugged Bluetooth speaker, and couple it with a large external battery to charge not only the speaker but any other devices.   I'd recommend the Braven BRV-1, it is waterproof, drop proof and has a 12 hour playtime. I've left my braven in my car turned on for a...

    Sennheiser HD518 HD558 HD598 HD559 HD589 HD579 HD599 Support Thread

If you take the 558's apart and remove the little plastic nub that interlocks with the stock connector you can just use a basic slim 2.5mm to 3.5m adaptor such as this. An alternative to this method would be to dremel a slot into the adapter to mimic the stock connector, I tried this myself and...

    $300 over-ear headphone recommendation

depends on what kind of music you listen to   I listen to melodic dubstep, a little bit of EDM, new age rock and a bit of older metal and I find the V-moda M100's to be a very good fit for my tastes.   for headphone that fit your requirements i've only tried the m100 and the ue6000, the...

    Mouse -Fi

Been using a Logitech G700 for the last 2.5 years. Goes with me everyday on campus and gets used on tables counters and desks almost always without a mouse pad as well as on my Ripper XXL at home. It has been such a solid mouse and if it were to ever break I would order a new one that day.

    V-Moda M100 vs Sony MDR-1R

I 've had my m100's for 2 weeks and every time I put them on it is nothing but pure musical enjoyment. They may not be "audiophile grade" and they are not super accurate studio monitors but none of that matters at all. Who cares about frequency response and accuracy, what really matters is...

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

I've found an awesome cable for use with the m100's, thesecable are super cheap but the quality of the cable is pretty nice. The jacket is a smooth semi-rubber, they are a little over 3ft. long and the connectors are very compact and fit easily in the m100. Haven't noticed any difference in sound...

Tightening the fit on V-MODA Crossfade M-100's?

The headband is made out of pretty tough flexible steel. It can be bent slightly to achieve a more desired shape. Just go around the headband and bend it inwards carefully.

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

V-moda has re-certified m-100's for $245 in the private sale section of their website, also check out the for sale or trade section of these forums. With all of the issues of sub-par preforming m100's lately I would trust v-moda or a fellow headfier more than amazon.

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

these headphones are just a few days over a month old, im pretty upset that something this premium priced and touted to be "military grade" durable would break in quite a major way and in such a short amount of time.    I just got the XL pads and they are very nice so i'm going to keep them...

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

Was taking off my stock pads to put on my new XL pads and noticed a pretty sizable crack in one of the ear cups of my m100's, has anyone else seen anything like this? the crack is hard to see in a picture bit it is that white looking line coming from the top left corner of the shield.
