They're similar enough that it isn't much of a comparison, if I recall the Xelentos are brighter, but they're both essentially the same.

Anyone have any comparisons of the Vega to Noble's K10? I'm pretty curious about picking up a more musical and natural IEM to complement my current daily drivers.

They're pretty much the same as the Truth edition, but the sound is overall a bit warmer, and the soundstage is a little wider up top? I only had 5 minutes with them, and they're absolutely gorgeous. 

I usually use the AK to Mojo, rather than my phone as I have a larger music collection on the AK, and I think that the sound is a bit better, since you get very minor EMI while using the phone and Mojo, but not with the AK.

That is absolutely fantastic. I'm waiting for my pair to come back from repair, will definitely want to mod these with a mmcx connector.

I'm using the current version, and I'm not super in love with it, but if you use an impedance adapter to raise your IEM impendace, they work great with IEMs. 

How did you manage to recable these? I've been looking for a way to get rid of the crappy included cable with no success...

Small note to people who may use the EQ-8 with their smartphones; The EQ-8 pairs very well with the new Samsung Galaxy S6 line of phones. I am currently using them on my S6 edge and they sound even better than when driven out of my AK100ii

  Just got word from Shikada-san that my unit is ready to be shipped, impressions will follow soon!   I do feel like the current version may work better with some dynamic driver IEMS, but I'm quite excited to try it out with some CIEMs (K10, A12, Layla) as well as with my Ortofon EQ-8.

Please do let me know how they sound with the DITAs, I'm personally very anxious to hear how the combo sounds, as I'll be using that primarily.

Please listen to them, they are FANTASTIC. I've been using them for a few days now, and they are very impressive. I have herad pretty much every TOTL IEM/CIEM since the SE846, and the EQ-8 is something special entirely. 

The EQ-8s have just arrived! Will post impressions about the IEM soon, but I wanted to praise Dimitri from Musica acoustics for just a little bit, packaging was top notch and shipping was almost impossibly fast! Can't wait to test out the EQ-8!

My GR10s are from 2013 and feature no such vent/hole, and the rim is more on the matte white side than silver.

Well, they fit so perfectly that I can sleep with them on, and they never hurt my ears, regardless of the tips.
