Best dynamic driver IEMs?
They're similar enough that it isn't much of a comparison, if I recall the Xelentos are brighter, but they're both essentially the same.- Noobmachine

Best dynamic driver IEMs?
I've only ever heard the Oriolus once before and wasn't quite impressed with the whole package, the bass sure was good, but as a whole package the big chunky shell plus the less than coherent sound, especially when compared to the Xelentos. If you do enjoy the sound of BA mids and highs then I'd...- Noobmachine

Best dynamic driver IEMs?
Basically I've been using nothing but DD iems, I'd have to say the Lyra II, DITA Dream, and what I use personally which would be the Beyerdynamic Xelentos. Quite honestly there isn't much selection when it comes to DD iems, and the DITA is so painfully difficult to drive, and the Lyra and Vega...- Noobmachine

Beyerdynamic Xelento!
Perhaps take a look at the DITA Answer and Truth Editions, their sound signature is really similar to the Xelentos and quite frankly they perform amazing with pretty much any genre of music. Also maybe the Campfire Ausio Vega and Lyra II, a little more on the warm side but also very coherent...- Noobmachine

Beyerdynamic Xelento!
Just picked these up to replace my broken DITA IEMs, and they are quite the performer! I've been away from the audiophile community for a bit, just casually enjoying the music, but the Xelentos are good enough that I felt the need to give a brief write-up to praise these little guys. Clear...- Noobmachine

Campfire Audio Vega (and Dorado and Lyra II) - Head-Fi TV
Just got my Lyra II's in the mail, and I've noticed there's a fair lack of impressions on the lower end models for this line up, I'll be posting impressions of the Lyra II in days to come! Also some small comparisons to my daily IEM's the Dita's, just in case people are interested. First...- Noobmachine

Campfire Audio Vega (and Dorado and Lyra II) - Head-Fi TV
Anyone have any comparisons of the Vega to Noble's K10? I'm pretty curious about picking up a more musical and natural IEM to complement my current daily drivers.- Noobmachine

DITA - The Answer (Truth Edition).
They're pretty much the same as the Truth edition, but the sound is overall a bit warmer, and the soundstage is a little wider up top? I only had 5 minutes with them, and they're absolutely gorgeous.- Noobmachine

Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆
I usually use the AK to Mojo, rather than my phone as I have a larger music collection on the AK, and I think that the sound is a bit better, since you get very minor EMI while using the phone and Mojo, but not with the AK.- Noobmachine

I'm using the current version, and I'm not super in love with it, but if you use an impedance adapter to raise your IEM impendace, they work great with IEMs.- Noobmachine

Ortofon e-Q8 Impressions Thread (new 2014 successor of the e-Q7 / e-Q5)
Of course it is rather subjective,(this entire hobby is shrouded in subjectivity) and I won't say that it is THE player for the EQ-8, but as someone who happened to pick up the S6, I was pleasantly surprised by the pairing, considering my own experience in driving the EQ-8. (YMMV) Of all the...- Noobmachine

Small note to people who may use the EQ-8 with their smartphones; The EQ-8 pairs very well with the new Samsung Galaxy S6 line of phones. I am currently using them on my S6 edge and they sound even better than when driven out of my AK100ii- Noobmachine

Just got word from Shikada-san that my unit is ready to be shipped, impressions will follow soon! I do feel like the current version may work better with some dynamic driver IEMS, but I'm quite excited to try it out with some CIEMs (K10, A12, Layla) as well as with my Ortofon EQ-8.- Noobmachine

Basically the same deal, except I'm running it in low impedance, current mode (which basically kills battery life) and double battery capacity. I'm currently trying to see if I can get a recharging circuit built in as well. I'm still not all that familiar with the SIT stuff, I'd love to...- Noobmachine

Please listen to them, they are FANTASTIC. I've been using them for a few days now, and they are very impressive. I have herad pretty much every TOTL IEM/CIEM since the SE846, and the EQ-8 is something special entirely.- Noobmachine
