Shure still king for <$200 IEMs?
The MEE's seem like a budget option to the Shures, but the ATH-E40 and 1MORE look very promising. I'm probably going with the E-40s because they will soon be available at my shop of choice, and the 1MORE is hard to get where I live (EU). Edit: after reading the impressions in the E-series...- kanyesskirt

Shure still king for <$200 IEMs?
Sadly there isn't really a store I know of that has a bunch of "niche" IEMs to listen to. I mainly listen to hiphop and electronic music (not techno, but stuff like Mura Masa, Burial). I'll definitely read up on the ATH-E40.- kanyesskirt

Shure still king for <$200 IEMs?
Sadly I've lost my Shure SE215, so I'm looking for new IEMs. Should I just buy new Shures? I can dish out slightly more than the Shures cost and I see a lot of love for RHA. However the T20 is a lot more expensive. Basically it boils down to Shure SE215, RHA MA750, RHA T-20 or is there something...- kanyesskirt

Pretty much this. I do like these IEMs, but they are super cheap and I'm not in love with them either. I always tend to break cables after a while because I just put the earbuds in my pockets. These lasted me almost a year, so that's great value.- kanyesskirt

What are the cheap bass monsters these days? My TTPOD T1-E has a broken cable.- kanyesskirt

What eartips are you guys using with your T1-E and do you ear them over ear or not? The seal feels a bit weird for me, as if they aren't really in my ear. Using them with my phone or laptop only (no EQ) they aren't that bassy, but I think that's because of the source?- kanyesskirt

Got my T1-E's in. I can only compare them with my Vsonic GR02 bass edition. First impression is the T1-E sounds a lot clearer and the bass signature is obvious. I can even feel the bass, but I'm not sure if that's due to a bad seal. I might need to try some other tips. I'm using the medium white...- kanyesskirt

I went ahead and ordered the T1E. I hope they arrive soon, dx can be slow. I'll post my opinion later.- kanyesskirt

I like warm signatures, but I do enjoy details a lot. That's why I own some DT 770s as headphones, but use my amp to add some bass and treble. I listen to many kinds of music. Mostly dreamy indie stuff and any kind of black music like hiphop, R&B, soul, jazz. What makes me doubt is that I still...- kanyesskirt

I have a Nexus 5. The amp does work with it with some kernels and it should work out of the box with Android L. When I travel without a bag I don't carry my amp around. I usually travel with it though. I'd say 80/20. Looking at T1E now for €27 or Havi B3 Pro (old) for €49. It's not a huge...- kanyesskirt

I'm deciding between T1E and Havi B3 now. If I go for the B3, I should get the old version?- kanyesskirt

I could use another pair of IEMs, but there are so many opinions here :) I currently have the Vsonic GR02s. I just need another pair so I can keep one permanently in my bag. I see the ttpod T1E and Havi's are getting much love, but which are better for me? I do have a portable amp (FiiO E17)...- kanyesskirt

Portable amp and/or dac for DT 770
Seriously? The E17 should be plenty to drive the 250 Ohm. How do you figure it isn't enough?- kanyesskirt

Portable amp and/or dac for DT 770
I appreciate all help, but as someone already said, there is another topic for discussion on Realtek. Whether they have a dac or not, it is crap. Update: I bought an E17. For phones it will take some time until DACs are adopted, if it happens at all, since it is such a niche still. I will...- kanyesskirt

Portable amp and/or dac for DT 770
The more I read, the more complicated it gets. The E18 is supposedly an Android DAC, but it will probably be released Q3 2013. As for now the HTC One X doesn't work with any DAC, although it does have JellyBean 4.1, which should support it. It's also very unclear if future Android phones are...- kanyesskirt

Portable amp and/or dac for DT 770
Did even more reading this morning. Seems like I'm out of luck with the HTC One X for now. There must be coming out products using Google's implementation of audio over USB, but who knows when? My contract only has a few more months left, so I'll wait, look at what is going on then, and...- kanyesskirt

Portable amp and/or dac for DT 770
I've done some more reading, and it seems like the HTC One X doesn't support external DACs. The Jellybean update does support audio over USB, but it seems that it doesn't use the standard. I guess the E11 should be my pick then?- kanyesskirt

Portable amp and/or dac for DT 770
Hi there, I've been lurking head-fi for years on and off, but I never had any questions. Though, I recently got my first serious headphones and want to put together a setup. After snapping two TMA-1 headbands, I traded them for the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro's (80 ohms). My music sources are...- kanyesskirt
