Big ole' plus one to this post. I haven't built anything substantial in TIDAL but do have some subscribed playlists I'd like to migrate and I haven't found a method to do so yet.- jackgopack4

NEW 2013 Beats Studios...
I just picked up a pair from Best Buy, and they seem to put out some good sound. It seems live, but not so much as the old ones, which would totally overpower the vocals/mids. The bass still covers the mids a little bit, but it's toned down. The main thing I've noticed, though, is the hiss of...- jackgopack4

If more companies would just sell an unlocked device from their own store at a reasonable price (like Google), maybe we would have less of this problem...- jackgopack4

The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..
Just have to say, these earbuds aren't the finest looking to begin with, but the last thing I would want sticking out of my ear walking down the street is flash-colored goo...- jackgopack4

Quote: That's brilliant and I am not at all surprised that it exists. Anyone have experience with these, with the 8320s or any other earbuds?- jackgopack4

Quote: Thanks, I appreciate the advice. However, would they sound as good without an amplifier? I know HiFiMan advertises them as not needing an amplifier, but the consensus here seems to be that you do really want an amplifier.- jackgopack4

nexus 4 vs galaxy s3?
I am under the impression that the Galaxy S3 has the Wolfson DAC, and should have better sounding audio than the Nexus 4. Having owned both phones, I can say the S3 edged it out a little on that point. The big thing, however, especially since this is the portable amplifiers forum, is that the S3...- jackgopack4

**Hifiman HE-400 Impressions and Discussion Thread**
Has anyone listened to these and the V-Moda M-100s? I understand that they're radically different headphones, but for a wide range in music tastes, I am wondering if these would be better for more genres. I've been reading this thread for a while, but with 676 pages and counting, it's hard to...- jackgopack4

I ordered when this deal went live, and just got my Trumpets today. I have to say, they're pretty awesome! It's the most I've ever spent on headphones before, and definitely worth it. The Sketches of Spain CD included sounds fantastic, and everything just seems so "live," if that's the right...- jackgopack4

Review by 'jackgopack4' on item 'Sony Over the Ear Earbuds'
These in-ear clip-style earphones are great for working out. They have decent sound, but like many consumer-oriented 'buds, over-emphasize the bass at the sake of the mids. Trebles are pretty good. I use these headphones out and about, and exercising as the clips are really handy for keeping on...- jackgopack4
