I have 3 of the EC250 adapters, and all work fine with my Xperia Z, Z2, LG G2, and HTC One M9, so it should be fine if you get the Sony branded one.

You'll need an OMTP/CTIA adapter. Search for the Sony EC250 which can be had on eBay for <$5.

I'm currently using Spotify Premium which I also use on my PC and on the extreme preset, and the headphone output through the phone is clean and sounds good. Will try some other apps for playback anyway and see if that makes a difference. Thanks

Maybe it's just inconsistency in batches...I tried a pair of the MH1s and they had significantly less bass than my mh1c's-especially sub-bass.

Love the look of those but not a huge fan of the mh1s unfortunately, as they don't quite have enough bass for my tastes, prefer the mh1c.

I wasn't able to find much of a difference after burn in (around 50 hours), although the sub bass did tighten up a bit. These headphones respond very well to eq so perhaps give that a try.
