Was kinda hoping for a multi-IEM larger case. I have plenty of smaller cases.

Agree with @nocturne19 about U12t sounding great through almost anything. Occasionally use them for movies on a laptop with garbage onboard Realtek sound, still sounds pretty good. Through a half decent source (say a smartphone & up) they sound awesome.

Take as much time as you need to in order for you guys to be completely happy with it. In my experience, you guys won't/don't release something until/unless you're 100% good with whatever it is & your stuff always 'just works' as a result :thumbsup:

I have the U12t & love them. Also demo'd the Nio when I bought them. If bass is what you want, maybe the Nio with the dynamic driver. The bass is nice on the U12t, but if you want low low, you probably want something with a dynamic driver (speaking from my experience with the Odins) and/or bone...

Good questions, DL. I'm pretty OK flashing/rooting/using ADB with vanilla Android or a well put together custom version, but looking at how AK's version functions on this device (a bit of a mess is putting it mildly), the answers are probably anyone's guess...

Have never messed with the AK2000 in this way (on a phone easy-peasy) because it runs a degenerate homebrew version of Android, but shouldn't the latest version of ̶R̶o̶o̶n̶ Tidal be sideload-able via ADB ? Edit to add - This isn't to say it will work, though. I think the SP2000 runs messed up...

I find the U12t handles synthetic percussion & synthbass really well depending on how low the percussion/synthbass goes. Yeah, the Odin (or anything else with DD probably) does it better if it goes low low, but if it doesn't go low low the U12t does pretty well IMO.

It would be like me comparing the U12t & Odin. Different technologies/kit inside/method of getting it done, completely different sound as a result. That's the crux of it - do they sound different ? Of course. Absolutely. But to say one is 'better' or another is 'mediocre' in absolute terms & try...
